Hello all! I have a lot of ground to cover today, so I apologize in advance for the massive wall of text you are about to see. I'll try to bold the most important stuff. Also, we finish off with a new pair! so if you survive that far, you get a bit of a treat haha [size=5][b]Pinglist Overhaul[/b][/size] If you have not heard the news yet, Flight Rising has launched a pinglist feature. And in some unspecified date in the future, they are going to discontinue manual pinglists [b]larger than 12 users[/b]. Basically, this means my brand new self-editing spreadsheet is about to be obsolete. In response to this, I have [s]cried[/s] revamped the Pairs section to combine the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/baz/2738858#post_40284202][color=green][b]breeding card + new pinglist[/b][/color][/url]. I may continue to use the google spreadsheet once or twice after this, just to make sure I have collected everyone (especially since this update is kind of long) - but we don't have a time limit on when the block will begin, so it is probably best to sign up now. [b]Please let me know if you catch any mistakes, or if there are any legibility issues![/b] My goal was to make it easy to read while trying to stay as spooky as possible? so any feedback you have, even if it is purely aesthetic, would be helpful. On a related note, I tried a new way of clarifying who to ping: [indent]Since I ([b]Celeana[/b]) have Light eyes, my pairs will be [b]Glimmer[/b] [emoji=glimmer tile size=1] [b]potatho [/b]is in the Shadow flight, his pairs are marked as [b]Gloom[/b] [emoji=gloom tile size=1][/indent] Those emojis will show up in the pinglist widget, and hopefully they can help reinforce that this is a joint hatchery. This is important (at least to me) because [b]potatho can no longer see or ping people who sign up for pairs on his pinglists[/b]. [size=1]I mean sure, potatho could have made pinglists for his own pairs, but he still couldn't access the general pinglist, so he still couldn't reach everyone. And sure, I usually post his hatchlings/announcements for him, so it may not seem that much of a change from your POV. But he still handles all of his own sales, so it bothers me that he won't be able to see his customers anymore.[/size] Why do I bring this up? Because this is going to cause some - [size=5][b]Rule Changes[/b][/size] Starting today, [b]we will no longer be voting on new pairs[/b]. From a logistic standpoint, I don't think it will work well with the future ping system. And potatho and I agree that it isn't as necessary as it once was, even if we really did enjoy hearing your feedback. Likewise, [b]we will be discontinuing all holds that we used to for new hatchlings[/b]. This means getting rid of the unpopular new pair hold. But it also means that anyone who sees this thread can ping to claim any hatchling, whether they are on our pinglists or not. Why? because potatho can't see the pinglists anymore, and I don't have the braincells to micromanage his sales. That said, we will still wait at least 24 hours after the announcement to post our sales on the AH. During that period, you can ping us to send you a CR for whatever currency you like. So we still have a bit of a snipe guard? But it won't be as good as the old one, sorry. To clarify: [LIST] [*]If you sign up for the general pinglist, you no longer need to sign up for any other pinglists. You'll get pinged for all announcements and can claim any hatchling we post. [*]The pair update pinglist will only be invoked for when we unveil new releases/revamps. No more voting. Probably? no more breeding project progress reports. So it will be much quieter than it was before, which is probably a plus if you wanted this one over the general pinglist anyway. [*]The lore pinglist will only be used for our separate lore thread (because sometimes I catch typos or add entries late). [*]For now, the special eyes pinglist will be for [b]all[/b] special eye types. This is because I already have 47 pinglists set up, and I'm not even done with my other endeavors yet. I will cry if I have to make any more. [*]Actually, I think I (Celeana) will not be taking any reservations/special requests for the time being. Why? Because I have the memory of a goldfish, and I'd rather disappoint you now than string you along. [*]potatho might still take requests for his pairs, but I don't actually know the details of how he keeps track of it all. Couldn't be me, that's for sure.
