TOPIC | LGBT+ shows to watch during Pride Month?
@SkykidNadir
Steven Universe /hj (But seriously, it's good if you haven't seen it yet!) I know the Owl House is popular but I haven't seen it myself. My current favorite show is Our Flag Means Death; it does have an AFAB nonbinary character but for the most part it's MLM. Still very very good, though!
Steven Universe had a lot of good LGBT+ content in it, I agree! I think my favorite aspect of that entire show + storyline was its movie though. [s]Dang it had so many catchy songs in that movie...[/s] Honestly, Pearl's my favorite character from that show; her sorrow over Rose Quartz and her narrative about independence was really wonderful to watch! What about you? :D Do you have a favorite? :) I've seen a little bit of The Owl House, but not the entire show since when I last watched, it wasn't complete yet, but I did really like what I'd seen of it, thank you! I've actually never heard of Our Flag Means Death! I'll definitely look into it, thank you so much for the recommendation. :D Also I love seeing MLM content too; mostly I said what I did in my original post because I don't see WLW represented as much as MLM, but I'm really into anything that's LGBT+ content in general to be honest. I love this community and all the wonderful, talented, amazing, and unique people in it. :D

@feelingchimpy
If you have Netflix, Heartstopper is the most wholesome one I've seen! The mains aren't wlw, but there are lesbian characters. It is live action though.
Oh, I've never heard of this, but I'm always up for a wholesome show haha. Good to know it's live-action (I do like some live-action content, it just depends - like I really adore Love, Victor for instance!). I just did a quick google of it, and oh this promises to be good, thank you so much for the recommendation. :D I'll have to add this to my list to check out! Thanks again for the response - I hope you have a lovely day today! n_n

@AllHailWebby
I’m also gonna be recommending The Owl House, a 2D animated show. The main character is in a wlw relationship, and there’s a non-binary character in the second season
I haven't seen the entirety of The Owl House (when I watched it, it wasn't finished airing yet), but I really liked the story and the characters from where I saw! I'll definitely have to get back to watching it (I'm probably going to restart from the beginning because it's been long enough that I've definitely forgotten some details thanks to my swiss cheese brain) and catch up on it. :D Thanks for the reply! Honestly I did at least get to this scene with Luz and Amity, and thought it was so amazingly delightful! Like aah the animation is just gorgeous and it's so wonderful; I love every bit of the movement and flow in this! It's just so good! And actually I bought a dragon to gene into a fandragon of Eda quite some time ago, but haven't gotten around to actually working on her yet because I'm just slow and have a gazillion gene projects, but these were my plans for her!
Oh I personally have a little bit of issue with just purely audio / podcast content (I'm autistic and audio processing can be an issue for me, aha), but thank you for the recommendations all the same! If I have the time and focus I'll try to check out some of these, they sound interesting! Especially the first one you mentioned, as I'm a huge fan of horror to be honest, haha. The Mechanisms sounds like an interesting take on storytelling and perspectives, and it's great to hear about non-binary representation, too. :D Does The Bifrost Incident have any connection to Norse mythology, out of curiosity? I'm just wondering since Bifrost is a Norse mythology-related term, and I'm very into Norse mythology actually (to the point of having actual Futhark runes on some of my dragon profiles, haha)! Also I don't mind if stories aren't "particularly happy." A lot of the storylines I connect to the most are actually ones with heavier, serious, intense topics in them!
The Bifrost Incident is their take on Norse Mythology!

The Ultimatum: Queer Love on Netflix. It's a trashy reality TV show. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely.

She-ra princess of power :)

Also the dragon prince has some representation although it's not the main focus!

i really love dead end: paranormal park! summer camp island is pretty cute. arcane has a very subtle romance subplot and it's amazing. infinity train is 100/10 find a way to watch it there's a lot of subtextual queerness especially in s2.

Reiterating a few things here: she-ra, owl house, steven universe, kipo (so underrated), heartstopper, dragon prince (as stated, not the focus but overall good show)

Dead End Paranormal Park is extremely good..... but it has unfortunately been cancelled. still worth a watch and the comic it's based on is still available! main character is a gay trans guy

princess jellyfish is an anime with some gender ?? it's not explicitly stated at any point that i remember but is also a good, fun anime

centaurworld - not main focus, but 2 of the main cast are gay (also. really just. a chaotic show with INCREDIBLE lore)

q-force is okay, it's nsfw though. not HORRIBLE but raunchy. but it IS a gay special ops team

arcane - another one where it isnt a big focus but catherine-vi hurts me (also phenomenal show and animation)

adventure time - A LONG ONE, but later episodes (especially the Stakes miniseries. if you know basics of the show you can probably watch the miniseries alone!)

Ok-ko I've heard is good but havent watched!

edit: biased recommendation, but bojack horseman has canon ace characters and its actually a very important part of their stories!
