They say even the hardiest members of the Ice Flight avoid the Cloudscrape Crags. They say those who dare to venture into that harsh, unwelcoming world of rock and ice never return. They say that if you put your ear to the wind and listen hard enough, you can hear the poor lost souls weep and moan and howl. Although... the cold is enough to drive any creature, dragon or otherwise, simply mad.

Perhaps that is what started the rumors.

The folk tales. The horror stories. The legends. The whisperings through all Clans of Ice, the hushed voices that have traveled through Sonreith on the tongues of seasoned travelers, explorers, and hunters.

"Avoid the Cloudscrape Crags," They say. "Especially the one that kneels."

In the heart of the Crags is a mountain—if it can be called that—that bends toward the Fortress of Ends like a knight kneeling before a king. Jagged skeletons of beasts long since past stick out from the snow. Past this Crag is a deep valley. The snow blows so viciously that none can see the bottom of this valley. It is here that the howling is the loudest. And it is here the tales began.

Some remember the old Clan Nufrost, the one led by kind leaders, brightly-colored beasts with hearts of warming fire, not frigid ice. But... fires burn out, as does life. In the Crags, only ice lasts. Where has the old clan gone? As with all inquiries... no one is certain. Perhaps they left in search of a kinder home? Have they perished, one by one? Or where they ever there at all?

Neighboring clans claim these are all just silly folk tales, used to keep hatchlings in line. Even the traders that once claimed to work with the clan in the past claim it is all legend. They say there is nothing at the kneeling mountain. Clan Nufrost has become nothing more than a myth. How can such a large clan disappear s suddenly?

And why does the ground tremble in the valley? Why do avalanches and flurries happen so often there? Why do snow streaks gather in such large numbers there? Maybe that is why so many young dragons go missing in the Crags. Yes, it must be because of the nature of Ice. Surely nothing can survive up there?

Yet... if one dares venture deep into the heart of the Cloudscrape Crags, one cannot help but feel as if they are being watched.

They say snow streaks announce its arrival.

And they are gathering.

Hello. I like podcasts, horror, TTRPGs, video gaymes, dragons, monsters, cats, plants, medical history, pathology, and the color combo of black and white. Also dead things. Lots of dead things.

I am currently a medical student and suffering for my love of anatomy. I plan to go into forensic pathology/become a medical examiner and LOVE to talk about it! (ps: ACAB still applies) I'd be happy to give advice for anything school related. No, I will not diagnose you. Please just talk to your PCP.

Also... I have a problem... I impulse-buy VERY OFTEN and decide like an hour later I don't want the dragon... So I sell again. If you would rather take the dragon back, let me know.
