YEAH UGH I love Firewatch, but she's just...not good for cc from what ive tried. Or maybe mine isnt high-level enough, who knows. Dislike the High-Rise CC map quite a bit though, those bombtails always manage to hit SOMEONE.
Yeah, AOE is a strain on the DP, but...Myrtle. Myrtle mitigates a good chunk of that with her skill. She's probably the only reason i can get Meteorite, Catapult, and Shiriyuki out quick enough, lol.

Salteas Mine is E2LV30, and still feels like she isn't really fitted for CC most of the time.
High rise? AoE snipers are better than her nukes, and her smokescreen is nice, but often not needed and her slow attack hurts with the amount of enemies. Maybe at a higher level she can one-shot the drones and not waste attacks...
Barren plaze? Sure, she works, but others deal better with the mobs. She's totally usuable here though with some nice spots to benefit her range. Would say this one is quite fun when you want to use her range to the max with the spots she can reach.
Area 59? Was playing guardknights and the only spot left was taken by someone who slows. Caster strategy might give her a nice spot *leaves for another try at that map*
For High-Rise CC, have you tried putting a Gravel at the top spot when they appear? She can soak up two bombs, retreat, and back fast anough for a new wave. Other fast-redploy operators probably work too

I've only really used them on the maps with the sarkaz casters because of that paralyzing skill to tank that ability, then retreat. I havent even tried touching area 59 yet...need to level up my team a little bit more...current mission: E2 eyjafjalla for that volcano skill, then train to mastery 3. e.

Salteas Fast-repeploy operators are quite useful, definitely recommend playing around with them for more than the sarkaz casters :3
If you can try the daily maps you could try a low risk level of Area 59, I believe.

I hope I'm not necro-ing. Just got Arknights a week ago, and I'm obsessed.
Silver Ash is definitely my favorite, he hits all my favorite aesthetics (Grey/blue color scheme, fluffy black cloak, snow leopard which is my favorite animal, ikeman(lol), fights with a cool falcon, the list goes on) plus he's op.
Aside from him, Reed, Shirayuki, Istina, Waai Fu(lololol), and Matterhorn have been pulling weight for me. Ooo and Shining. Only other 6-star I have is Nian whom I haven't used yet, because I already have Matterhorn and Hung as defenders and like them lots.
