From their reply to me, simply requesting to be added on to joint ownership of the bug seems to be the case rather than a trading of joint ownership exchanges between bugs from the two users.

I will simply be adding people into the joint owners list, but I will not be expecting offers to share/joint-trade other bugs for it. For the foreseeable future, I do not think I will accept offers for share/joint-trading for this bug since it was not originally my bug to begin with. If Humboldt decides to join the thread in the future, then I will leave it up to their discretion and update my post accordingly.

I will update with your name in the joint ownership list.

@Katsuji Sure thing, and already my default plan with bugs I don't originally own. I added this particular bug to the very end of my bugs owned by others, contact them directly list with notes about the special situation involved. If you wanted to double check that for your own peace of mind, my list is linked on the right-most bug in my sigline.
