okn nope. it covers the front of the snout too, but here you don't see that on adults
as a gaoler enthusiast it hurts

Unless the opal on the wing and horns is only on one side, the adults gain them while the hatchling doesn't have them.
Theory: opal sheds like scales and can manifest in other places as you grow.

That's an interesting theory and it would explain the placements in other breeds as well. I've noticed this before and I have to admit it bothers me a bit lol, I still love opal though.
