Tales of Eotera

In the beginning, there were only three deities and a blank slate of a planet. Together, they would start to shape the planet and create new life to watch over. Billions of years later, dragons come into existence and start to lay out their history while their gods watched from afar.

The Planet

General

All tales found here take place on the planet of Eotera. The main focus on the planet is the large continent called Senrade that stretches across vertically on one side of the planet.

Orbiting around the planet are five different moons, with four of them orbiting at a far distance, while Eotera itself orbits around a large orange star. The planet is at a slight tilt, which lets the planet experience yearly seasons in the two different hemispheres.
The five moons: Uliv, Cania, Byria, Piria, and Eohiri.

All over the planet, dragons soar through the skies while leviathans lurk beneath the water's surface. Griffins, sphinxes, serpents, and many more share the world with them as well, some more friendly than others.

Watching over the planet are several deities, each one with their own unique abilities. Most of them have affected or forged Eotera in some way. All of these deities are well known, some of them more social in public than others.

Time

It takes the planet 480 days to complete one full orbit around the sun. There are different seasons, each one having an equal amount of 3 months, although some seasons may last longer from time to time. The days are split up so there are 40 days in each month, 8 days a week, and there being twelve different months in all. Dates are written in a day/month/year format, sometimes with the time, which there are 26 hours in a day.

Weekdays
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Noxday

Friday, Saturday, Noxday, and Sunday are considered as weekends, while the other four are considered weekdays. For convenience I just made all the weekday names the same as irl just to make it easier to follow along.

Since all months have 40 days, the weeks are evenly distributed across the months and days remain on the same dates in previous years. For example, the 1st of Ixum is always a Sunday. I did this also for convenience and so I don’t have to do the math.

The timeline of the planet is split into two different periods: Birth of Gods (BoG/BG) and Inception Era (IE). Birth of Gods is the whole entire timeline before dragons come into existence, which is mainly where the main tiers of gods were created over the process of millions of years. Inception Era is the modern day era and starts around the time dragons came to be on Eotera.

The twelve different months are dedicated to the twelve different gods, some months being named after them, some not. A new year is marked at Horizonbreaker’s month, which is the start of summer in the northern hemisphere, winter for the southern hemisphere.
 1. Solsymber - Month of Horizonbreaker
 2. Tempsire - Month of Stormur
 3. Ixum - Month of Halcyon
 4. Pyrli - Month of Infernus
 5. Astrust - Month of Astrafall
 6. Quezesk - Month of Terran
 7. Yixius - Month of Sephtis
 8. Erahs - Month of Colden
 9. Crepulus - Month of Umbratide
 10. Aquilius - Month of Covefinder
 11. Vleoth - Month of Zoticus
 12. Celevis - Month of Aethra

Seasons

On the main continent of Eotera, Senrade, the landmass is large enough that its stretches from one hemisphere, across the equator, and into the second hemisphere. Depending on where a dragon is will decide what season it is. The affect seasons play on the land becomes weaker the closer to the equator one is settled.

All of Senrade uses the same calendar system. This also means that different dragons will associate the months with different seasons.

The most common theory is that Eotera was originally a barren wasteland, with no atmosphere and life in sight. Long into the life of the planet, the first god came into existence: the light goddess, Horizonbreaker. Not long after, the shadow god Umbratide was created in the shadows of her power. The two gods decided to join forces together and to try to create something out of the place they were given. A few years later, they were joined by the astral goddess, Astrafall, after she fell onto the planet from outer space. Together, they slowly shaped the face of the planet for centuries to come. Five different moons would shine in the sky while water rushed over on the planet and landmasses were formed. As they grew older and wiser, they began to realize that it would be difficult to maintain what they had already created all on their own. Together, they created four more gods. While Horizon, Umbra, and Astra would become to be known as the ‘Primary Gods’ of Eotera, the four new gods would become to be known as the ‘Secondary Gods.’ The new gods would be Covefinder, Infernus, Terran, and Aethra, who would hold the power of water, fire, earth, and wind respectively. Once the Secondary Gods had settled in, the Primary Gods would start to watch the planet in the reaches of space, mainly guarding the planet from any threats outside of its atmosphere. The Secondary Gods, left to their own resources, would continue to build up on the world from where the other three gods had left off. They formed their own, custom terrain, and all sorts of different environments on just one continent, which would become to be known as Senrade. As they went over their creation, Terran noted that life seemed to be slowly forming in their wake, albeit it would be millions of years before any progress would be made. And so, they waited, and watched over the planet for billions of years, sometimes giving evolution a simple nudge in the way they wanted. Once more variety of plants started to flourish and animals in the land, sea, and sky were more common, the Secondary Gods decided to create more beings to watch over the thriving planet with them. These gods would becalled the Collateral Gods, Stormur, Zoticus, and Sephtis, who hold the powers of storms, nature itself, and blight that brought life to an end. Later on, two more collateral gods were created, one who would control the cold winds of the north and south poles and thrive in the winter time named Colden. The other would be Halcyon, a god who thrives in the summer and the hot swelters along the equator. Now, with technology advancing and more about Eotera becoming known, a certain kingdom makes its rise.

The Whispering and Echoing Isles Similar mountain ranges that are split across scattered isles. Their sheer cliffs and numerous sharp rocks all around the coast, they’re often the focus of daring racers or ship captains who dare travel through the narrowest straits around the isles. Damaged ships and even shipwrecks are a common occurrence, which has caused so many communities living in the isles to be well prepared and knowledgeable in ship repair and simple first aid. Wasteland/Infection Has different names depending on who you talk with. Either way, they refer to the same thing. Very few who go to the wasteland ever return. No one knows the exact origins, but it’s believed to have first formed somewhere in the Snowdive Taiga. Some say that there’s a source powering it all, but it has yet to be confirmed. Either way, it started to spread sometime in the 3690's, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Burnished Meadow A large biome that is filled with plenty of history of dragons from the past, believed to be the first location where dragons settled down on Senrade. The meadow is filled with artifacts and ruins of former towns and cities. Even in the present day, there are plenty of towns that fill the area. Radiant Fields The same biome as the Burnished Meadows, both are believed to be the direct creation of Horizonbreaker to help dragons survive in Eotera at first. While not filled with much history, it’s still a popular location to live in due to its general warm climate. Many flora have adapted a gene where they give off soft glows when it’s dark. The grass takes on a more yellow color, similar to that of wheat. Even in the middle of the night, it’s hard to find total darkness on the surface. Shattered Isles A set of islands just off the west coast of the Reiziger Wilds. The isles have a blend of jungle, desert canyons, as well as plain deserts. They’re mostly unpopulated at the moment, although there has been talk of how they would make a nice location for a vacation town. No dragon has made a move yet to pounce on the idea just yet. Reiziger Wilds The jungle on the western side of Senrade, the wildlife here is more aggressive. Dragons have populated the overgrown floor, with ancient trees rising high above and forming a thick canopy. Towns are found by and beneath the roots of these large trees. There are plenty of cave systems, often revealed by the roots of these trees, which have become more locations for towns. It’s believed the region has the largest caves, filled with towns and facilities for exploration in the caverns. Salient Sea The central area of the continent where there’s a large sea of water with thousands of islands scattered about. Underwater, there’s a variety of depths and terrain, such as caverns, glowing flora, coral reefs, kelp bed, and even more beyond that. The sea is used as a main transport route between all the regions, with towns populating both the surface and water depths. Faer Forest The other, eastern half of the Senrade jungle region, the wildlife here is more passive and friendly to dragons. Cities and towns are often within the branches of the large trees, buildings connected with bridges and platforms. Similar to the Reiziger Wilds, there’s plenty of cave systems at the base of the trees, although they’re not as explored. There’s rumors that the cave systems go under the Salient Sea and over to the other jungle. Agave Desert The single desert in Senrade, it’s surprisingly habitable despite its climate. The desert is filled with oases and rivers as well as plenty of other desert life. Dragons still populate this region in a variety of ways. Of course, the desert still isn’t to be underestimated, especially if one doesn’t know how to navigate properly. Dryscoll Canyon A beautiful sight to see at times, the color of the stone in the canyon walls varies in colors depending on which section of the canyon you are in. The plants here are growing on the cliff sides of the canyon walls. Although, it’s an annoying region to traverse across when on the ground and not flying. It’s been noted that thunderstorms are more common in these regions. Ezra Rift A smaller canyon region compared to the Dryscoll Canyon, but a similar biome. It’s one of the more dangerous regions, scattered with deep caverns and ravines, often found at the bottom of the canyons. The ravines combined with the canyons make it seem as if some parts are a bottomless pit. Most dragons skip this region by going around on the ocean, with not as many dragons populating the region as Dryscoll. Draught Plateau A large section split off of the Mistral Highlands, the same biome as well. Draught has more dramatic cliff faces towards the sea. The closer to the Ezra Rift you get, the more prominent canyons and ravines become. Scoria Isle A volcanic region filled with both many active and dormant volcanos. Caverns and ravines lead to rivers and lakes of molten magma. There’s an abundant source of minerals and metals, making it a common location for mines and forges. The main export of the region is often mineral and rock related. Mistral Highlands The largest region in the Senrade continent. Mistral is filled with a varied landscape, which includes plains, rolling hills, plateaus, cliffs, and so on. Here and there are forests, filled with a large variety of trees. Both flora and fauna are about as varied as the two jungles. Wind is almost always present in the air with a variety of weather, from thunderstorms and tornadoes in warmer months to blizzards in the colder months. Fragmented Archipelago Thousands of isles that are located just off the coast of the Mistral Highlands and leading up to the Scoria Isle. They’re a similar biome to the Mistral Highlands, although with more tropical life forms. The isles are populated by dragons, towns often having exports relating to the sea, such as fish or kelp. Ships travel throughout the isles often, sailing being the common method of transport between the islands. Fasach Taiga Similar to the northern Snowdive Taiga. Both of them aren’t fully covered in snow year round, covered in pine forests and the ground a mix of grass and mud. Snow is found more so in the winter months and the closer one gets to the poles of the planet. Unlike Snowdive, Fasach isn’t as populated, still have yet to have many towns. Celestial Mountains A mountain range that holds some of the tallest mountains of Senrade excluding Necrosis Peak. It was named as those who originally saw the mountains from afar described it as if the mountains could reach the heavens. At first, there were rumours of the gods residing up in the mountains, but they've since been debunked. Necrosis Isle The isle is named after the tallest mountain in the Senrade continent that is located on it- Necrosis Peak. The name comes from it being quite dangerous to the dragons who decide to try and climb up the mountain, many never returning. This has resulted in many believing it has a curse on it, but those who turn to logic believe that it’s dangerous because of how tall it is and how it has many environmental dangers. Waterways Hoarfrost Lake A lake often frozen over during the winter times. In colder months, dragons may go ice skating on it when the ice is thick enough. The waterfall often freezes over, making it a popular visit. Do be warned, it’s a bit of a hazard once all the ice starts to thaw. Northern Chasm As one can infer from its name, it’s the largest chasm in the northern seas. Plenty of biological organisms have been discovered down within it due to there being thermal vents, making the waters more warm. Most of these organisms have some sort of bioluminescence to them. Kindle River A river notable for running through the Ravrindra Kingdom. It helps supply the kingdom with fresh water and acts as a good form of transport in and out of the city. There’s a common trade route between the Ravrindra Kingdom and Farr Port using this river. Sunview Lake Settled on mostly flat land, the lake provides great views of both the sunrise and sunset, the sky reflecting clearly off the lake’s surface. The water is crystal clear, allowing you to see straight through to the bottom. While there’s only a few sections where the lake gets extremely deep, dragons still may underestimate the depth of the water due to how clear it is. Evertide Lake Despite not being an ocean, the lake has vicious tides that get worse depending on the cycles of the five moons. There’s not much living within the lake itself, and it’s best advised you keep your distance. Some surfers see the lake as a challenge to try and ride the waves, so much so there’s a yearly festival hosted around it between local towns. Cascadia Lake Believed to be some of the freshest, purest water in all of Senrade. Water melts down from the snowcaps on the mountains, which will eventually make its way to Helios Lake. The water is crystal clear, with some sections of the lake having geysers and thermal vents. Shining Gorge A fierce river that cuts through the landscape, resulting in steep canyon walls on either side until it pours out into Helios Lake. Rapids are frequent and fish can be seen jumping out of the waters as they make their way around. Helios Lake This lake has a tendency to light on fire from time to time. A few years ago, an invasive algae species from the Snowdive Taiga named Winter Burn was brought to the lake. Normally, Winter Burn soaks in heat from the sun to produce energy, but if it gets too hot, it can easily light on fire. Once it got to Helios Lake, it spread rapidly and out of control, clumps of the algae suddenly bursting into flames on hot days. It’s still an issue that nearby towns are trying to fix, but the Winter Burn keeps on coming back. Obsidian Valley Filled with many magmatic changers and thermal vents. It’s also been discovered that there are many valuable minerals and ores found within its reaches. There’s ideas of going down there and collecting them once underwater technology gets good enough. Rayless Lake Being at a low point in the Reiziger Wilds, the lake sees little to no sunlight year round due to the forest canopy. There’s plenty of underwater caves within the lake and tree roots scattered across its shore. The lake hosts a variety of different plant and animal life, with many new species being discovered there almost yearly. Thalassic Trench An underwater trench that may be as deep as the Leviathan’s Abyss, although no one is too sure. Slowly but surely, dragons are improving technology to dive deeper than before and are using the Thalassic Trench due to its location being easy to get to. Reef Ravine A ravine that is surrounded and filled by a coral reef. Many tropical life forms call the general area around the ravine its home. Many dragons go snorkeling or diving in the waters, with there being plenty of nearby islands that have resorts on them. Mossbrook Lake The whole area around the lake is covered in moss, including the bottom of the lake. Lilypads are scattered on the surface of the water, with all types of water-based plants calling this lake their home. Elixir Lake A freshwater lake, with the water believed to have many healthy affects on a dragon. It’s also connected to the largest waterfall known on Senrade, going on for miles. The water coming from the lake is believed to come from some sort of underwater cave system connected to the Salient Sea. No one knows how or why it’s freshwater. Gale Canyon While not much has been explored, the sea around the trench has been known to contain violent storms in the spring and summer months. Large whirlpools are known to form, making it a dangerous area for traders to travel through. The Magma Trench Not actually any type of water landmark, but instead lava. It’s a large canyon with steep walls, stretching all across Scoria Isle and eventually meeting the ocean. Other than airships, there’s not any good ways to go over the trench, resulting in travel mostly being going around on the ocean. Audun Lake A large oasis in the middle of the Agave Desert. Many towns have settled all around the lake. No one really knows why, but the water is freshwater. Audun River A popular travel route to Audun Lake, many settling all along the river due to this. At the end of the river is the Audun Oasis, a city located on an island in the middle of the river. Oceanic Strait Leading up close to the Audun River, ships are able to use it to transfer materials throughout the desert, making the region a bit more bearable to live within. Eternal Lake Legend says that the lake will forever be a part of the landscape and that it will never run out of water. Many believe it got its name as it always seems to stay even partially full during the harshest of droughts. Mistral River The longest running river in Senrade, it helps to connect trade throughout the valleys of the Mistral Highlands. The river’s coast is abundant with many towns as its an easy place to form a settlement with lots of trade and commuting going on. Draftful Lake A lake that is often accompanied by many powerful gusts of winds. Leviathan’s Abyss The largest known trench that is settled not far off the coast of Senrade. No one knows how deep it goes and barely any dragon ever visits it. Many sailors and pirates alike have gone missing, never to return, when they set voyage to check it out. Those who do make it back tell tales of leviathans roaming in the deep dark and many more dangers. The Abyss Also rarely visited as the Leviathan’s Abyss, mainly because there’s just not much going on with it. There’s little to no life forms and the chasm seems to just drop straight off into the void once you reach it. Cosmos River Bioluminescent life forms occupy the bottom of the river, making it seem as if it’s filled with stars at night time. Even in the harshest of rivers it never seems to freeze over. Permafrost Lake Unlike the Cosmos River, this lake is almost always frozen over, never once being observed to be thawed out. Snow never covers the surface of the ice for long. Celestial Lake A lake located at one of the peaks of the Celestial Mountain range. Despite being up so high and surrounded in snow, it’s never frozen over, similar to the Cosmos River. There’s said to be statues of the gods located at it, but it has yet to be confirmed as the lake has only been observed from afar by a few dragons who climbed up high enough. Cities Farr Port Get it? Because it's far from- I'll leave. A city mainly focused on fishing and often trades with Ravrindra, having had a good alliance with them for a while. They're also allied with Aspengrove, Farr Port acting as a resting stop for any travellers on their way to Ravrindra. Aspengrove Similar to Farr Port, it’s on the coast, but has a pine forest nearby. They often trade lumber and see dragons on their way to the Hoarfrost waterfall. It’s a popular place for dragons to vacation at, mainly for observing the northern lights. Ravrindra Kingdom The longest and largest standing kingdom known, it's believed to be one of the first major kingdoms and has survived through plenty of events. It’s one of the most well known cities and has a variety of culture and exports. It’s also one of the last major cities with a monarchy leading it. Haven Living up to its name, the city is known to take in any dragons and help them with whatever situation they’re in. The town is still growing, with plenty of jobs and careers dragons can take up. Trade is common with Ravrindra, the city being closely allied with the kingdom. Cascade's Edge Settled behind and around one of the tallest waterfalls in Senrade. They've mainly grown due to dragons coming to look at the amazing sight of the beautiful yet dangerous waterfall. They also act as a main connecting point between all the different cities and towns nestled within the valleys of the Echoing Mountains. The town itself is within a lush valley with fertile soil, growing a variety of crops. Heliacal City A popular vacation town in the Radiant Fields, there’s tourist attractions and souvenir shops scattered all over the town. All around the land and even in the lake are bioluminescent life forms that start to glow at twilight, making for quite the beautiful scene. The city grows and sells bioluminescent plants as well as exporting foods that are naturally grown in the region’s climate. It’s the main city that is taking charge in trying to remove the winter burn algae from Helios Lake. Solra Harbour Solra’s name mainly comes from the fact that the city is the main place for transport between Heliacal and Thalassa city. It’s similar to Heliacal, in that it’s a popular vacation spot, and that they raise native animals and plants to export elsewhere. The city is lined up along a sandy beach, with a variety of aquatic habitats nearby. Fraser City Fraser is best described as a giant sinkhole in the forest floor, with waterfalls cascading down the sides. At the bottom is a large lake and tunnels connecting to vast cave systems that run underneath all of the Reiziger Wilds region. Homes are scattered around and inside the sinkhole, whether it be at the very bottom, in the walls, or lining the edge at the top. Wooden walkways and tunnels connect homes to one another, with no bridges reaching directly across to the other side due to how large the sinkhole is. Thalassa City Located in the middle of the Salient Sea on a small island, Thalassa City is the main rest stop for ships travelling across it. Buildings are built on the island, floating on the surface of the water, and even built underwater. There are hundreds of docks scattered about the city, with merchants lining the streets and town center. Vernal Heights Ancient trees quite literally hold this city up. The city is found to be mostly in the canopies of the trees, bridges connecting to other trees that hold other homes and buildings. It’s your tree house dream you had as a child. Of course there’s still some buildings that can be found on the ground, as it’s quite the effort to haul dirt up onto a tree branch for farms. The city is a popular vacation destination, ‎‎Audun Oasis One of the main places that can be inhabited comfortably within the Agave Desert. The Audun Lake and River have the unique situation of being freshwater, which has helped make the city itself successful. The city has the Audun River looping around it, shielding it from the rest of the desert. The Oceanic Strait nearby allows for more easily accessible trade with other towns and cities as it lessens the trek across the desert greatly compared to the coastline. Iota City Known as the city of innovation and technology in the future. Valuable minerals of all kinds found in the canyon walls and their uses for newer technology made this city a magnet for entrepreneurs and engineers. The only major skyscrapers found in Senrade are built in the canyon walls and seem to get taller with each new technological innovation. New companies either rise or fall here, and the economy here can be seen as quite cut-throat. Windbreak City The main city of interest focused on these stories. Windbreak is a relatively young city that is still growing. The city’s location to the coast has allowed for easy access and trade with ships on the Salient Sea, which has contributed majorly to the city’s growth. ‎Sootfall Port A city known for its export in minerals and metals. Forged tools are sourced from here one way or another, whether it’s the metal they’re made from or the fact they were forged there. The city has a heavy concentration on trading with other regions, which has contributed to the city’s size. Cyclone's Heart The city is split, one section being on a flat plateau and another in the sheer cliffside and ravines on the edge of the plateau. Bridges connect the sides of ravines together, allowing for dragons to safely access homes and stores on the other side. There’s a large, year-round market that has a large variety of goods to be found, which has become the main appeal of the city. Many airships and their parts are often crafted here and several can be seen in the skies at all times. Wintershield One of the few cities that have decided to brave the heart of the two taigas, specifically the Fasach Taiga. Despite its location, the city doesn’t get too harshly affected by the winters. There’s rumours that there’s some enchanted object(s) that help protect the city, but these have neither been confirmed nor denied. Being near the Cosmos River, it’s easy for ships to get to and fro the city, allowing for easy trade despite being so deep in the tundra.

They’re mostly unpopulated at the moment, although there has been talk of how they would make a nice location for a vacation town. No dragon has made a move yet to pounce on the idea just yet.

Reiziger Wilds
The jungle on the western side of Senrade, the wildlife here is more aggressive.

Salient Sea
The central area of the continent where there’s a large sea of water with thousands of islands scattered about. Underwater, there’s a variety of depths and terrain, such as caverns, glowing flora, coral reefs, kelp bed, and even more beyond that. The sea is used as a main transport route between all the regions, with towns populating both the surface and water depths.

Faer Forest
The other, eastern half of the Senrade jungle region, the wildlife here is more passive and friendly to dragons.

Agave Desert
The single desert in Senrade, it’s surprisingly habitable despite its climate. The desert is filled with oases and rivers as well as plenty of other desert life. Dragons still populate this region in a variety of ways. Of course, the desert still isn’t to be underestimated, especially if one doesn’t know how to navigate properly.

Dryscoll Canyon
A beautiful sight to see at times, the color of the stone in the canyon walls varies in colors depending on which section of the canyon you are in. The plants here are growing on the cliff sides of the canyon walls. Although, it’s an annoying region to traverse across when on the ground and not flying. It’s been noted that thunderstorms are more common in these regions.

Ezra Rift
A smaller canyon region compared to the Dryscoll Canyon, but a similar biome.

Draught Plateau
A large section split off of the Mistral Highlands, the same biome as well. Draught has more dramatic cliff faces towards the sea. The closer to the Ezra Rift you get, the more prominent canyons and ravines become.

Scoria Isle
A volcanic region filled with both many active and dormant volcanos. Caverns and ravines lead to rivers and lakes of molten magma. There’s an abundant source of minerals and metals, making it a common location for mines and forges. The main export of the region is often mineral and rock related.

Mistral Highlands
The largest region in the Senrade continent.

Fragmented Archipelago
Thousands of isles that are located just off the coast of the Mistral Highlands and leading up to the Scoria Isle. They’re a similar biome to the Mistral Highlands, although with more tropical life forms. The isles are populated by dragons, towns often having exports relating to the sea, such as fish or kelp. Ships travel throughout the isles often, sailing being the common method of transport between the islands.

Fasach Taiga
Similar to the northern Snowdive Taiga. Both of them aren’t fully covered in snow year round, covered in pine forests and the ground a mix of grass and mud. Snow is found more so in the winter months and the closer one gets to the poles of the planet. Unlike Snowdive, Fasach isn’t as populated, still have yet to have many towns.

Celestial Mountains
A mountain range that holds some of the tallest mountains of Senrade excluding Necrosis Peak. It was named as those who originally saw the mountains from afar described it as if the mountains could reach the heavens. At first, there were rumours of the gods residing up in the mountains, but they've since been debunked.

Necrosis Isle
The isle is named after the tallest mountain in the Senrade continent that is located on it- Necrosis Peak. The name comes from it being quite dangerous to the dragons who decide to try and climb up the mountain, many never returning. This has resulted in many believing it has a curse on it, but those who turn to logic believe that it’s dangerous because of how tall it is and how it has many environmental dangers.

Waterways

Hoarfrost Lake
A lake often frozen over during the winter times. In colder months, dragons may go ice skating on it when the ice is thick enough. The waterfall often freezes over, making it a popular visit. Do be warned, it’s a bit of a hazard once all the ice starts to thaw.

Northern Chasm
As one can infer from its name, it’s the largest chasm in the northern seas. Plenty of biological organisms have been discovered down within it due to there being thermal vents, making the waters more warm. Most of these organisms have some sort of bioluminescence to them.

Kindle River
A river notable for running through the Ravrindra Kingdom. It helps supply the kingdom with fresh water and acts as a good form of transport in and out of the city. There’s a common trade route between the Ravrindra Kingdom and Farr Port using this river.

Sunview Lake

While there’s only a few sections where the lake gets extremely deep, dragons still may underestimate the depth of the water due to how clear it is.

Evertide Lake
Despite not being an ocean, the lake has vicious tides that get worse depending on the cycles of the five moons. There’s not much living within the lake itself, and it’s best advised you keep your distance. Some surfers see the lake as a challenge to try and ride the waves, so much so there’s a yearly festival hosted around it between local towns.

Cascadia Lake
Believed to be some of the freshest, purest water in all of Senrade. Water melts down from the snowcaps on the mountains, which will eventually make its way to Helios Lake. The water is crystal clear, with some sections of the lake having geysers and thermal vents.

Shining Gorge
A fierce river that cuts through the landscape, resulting in steep canyon walls on either side until it pours out into Helios Lake. Rapids are frequent and fish can be seen jumping out of the waters as they make their way around.

Helios Lake
This lake has a tendency to light on fire from time to time.

Obsidian Valley
Filled with many magmatic changers and thermal vents. It’s also been discovered that there are many valuable minerals and ores found within its reaches. There’s ideas of going down there and collecting them once underwater technology gets good enough.

Rayless Lake
Being at a low point in the Reiziger Wilds, the lake sees little to no sunlight year round due to the forest canopy. There’s plenty of underwater caves within the lake and tree roots scattered across its shore. The lake hosts a variety of different plant and animal life, with many new species being discovered there almost yearly.

Thalassic Trench
An underwater trench that may be as deep as the Leviathan’s Abyss, although no one is too sure. Slowly but surely, dragons are improving technology to dive deeper than before and are using the Thalassic Trench due to its location being easy to get to.

Reef Ravine
A ravine that is surrounded and filled by a coral reef. Many tropical life forms call the general area around the ravine its home. Many dragons go snorkeling or diving in the waters, with there being plenty of nearby islands that have resorts on them.

Mossbrook Lake
The whole area around the lake is covered in moss, including the bottom of the lake. Lilypads are scattered on the surface of the water, with all types of water-based plants calling this lake their home.

Elixir Lake
A freshwater lake, with the water believed to have many healthy affects on a dragon. It’s also connected to the largest waterfall known on Senrade, going on for miles. The water coming from the lake is believed to come from some sort of underwater cave system connected to the Salient Sea. No one knows how or why it’s freshwater.

Gale Canyon
While not much has been explored, the sea around the trench has been known to contain violent storms in the spring and summer months. Large whirlpools are known to form, making it a dangerous area for traders to travel through.

The Magma Trench
Not actually any type of water landmark, but instead lava. It’s a large canyon with steep walls, stretching all across Scoria Isle and eventually meeting the ocean. Other than airships, there’s not any good ways to go over the trench, resulting in travel mostly being going around on the ocean.

Audun Lake
A large oasis in the middle of the Agave Desert. Many towns have settled all around the lake. No one really knows why, but the water is freshwater.

Audun River
A popular travel route to Audun Lake, many settling all along the river due to this. At the end of the river is the Audun Oasis, a city located on an island in the middle of the river.

Oceanic Strait
Leading up close to the Audun River, ships are able to use it to transfer materials throughout the desert, making the region a bit more bearable to live within.

Eternal Lake
Legend says that the lake will forever be a part of the landscape and that it will never run out of water. Many believe it got its name as it always seems to stay even partially full during the harshest of droughts.

Mistral River
The longest running river in Senrade, it helps to connect trade throughout the valleys of the Mistral Highlands. The river’s coast is abundant with many towns as its an easy place to form a settlement with lots of trade and commuting going on.

Draftful Lake
A lake that is often accompanied by many powerful gusts of winds.

Leviathan’s Abyss
The largest known trench that is settled not far off the coast of Senrade. No one knows how deep it goes and barely any dragon ever visits it. Many sailors and pirates alike have gone missing, never to return, when they set voyage to check it out. Those who do make it back tell tales of leviathans roaming in the deep dark and many more dangers.

The Abyss
Also rarely visited as the Leviathan’s Abyss, mainly because there’s just not much going on with it. There’s little to no life forms and the chasm seems to just drop straight off into the void once you reach it.

Cosmos River
Bioluminescent life forms occupy the bottom of the river, making it seem as if it’s filled with stars at night time. Even in the harshest of rivers it never seems to freeze over.

Permafrost Lake
Unlike the Cosmos River, this lake is almost always frozen over, never once being observed to be thawed out. Snow never covers the surface of the ice for long.

Celestial Lake
A lake located at one of the peaks of the Celestial Mountain range. Despite being up so high and surrounded in snow, it’s never frozen over, similar to the Cosmos River. There’s said to be statues of the gods located at it, but it has yet to be confirmed as the lake has only been observed from afar by a few dragons who climbed up high enough.

Cities

Farr Port
Get it? Because it's far from- I'll leave. A city mainly focused on fishing and often trades with Ravrindra, having had a good alliance with them for a while. They're also allied with Aspengrove, Farr Port acting as a resting stop for any travellers on their way to Ravrindra.

Aspengrove
Similar to Farr Port, it’s on the coast, but has a pine forest nearby. They often trade lumber and see dragons on their way to the Hoarfrost waterfall. It’s a popular place for dragons to vacation at, mainly for observing the northern lights.

Ravrindra Kingdom
The longest and largest standing kingdom known, it's believed to be one of the first major kingdoms and has survived through plenty of events. It’s one of the most well known cities and has a variety of culture and exports. It’s also one of the last major cities with a monarchy leading it.

Haven
Living up to its name, the city is known to take in any dragons and help them with whatever situation they’re in. The town is still growing, with plenty of jobs and careers dragons can take up. Trade is common with Ravrindra, the city being closely allied with the kingdom.

Cascade's Edge
Settled behind and around one of the tallest waterfalls in Senrade.

Heliacal City
A popular vacation town in the Radiant Fields, there’s tourist attractions and souvenir shops scattered all over the town.

Solra Harbour
Solra’s name mainly comes from the fact that the city is the main place for transport between Heliacal and Thalassa city. It’s similar to Heliacal, in that it’s a popular vacation spot, and that they raise native animals and plants to export elsewhere. The city is lined up along a sandy beach, with a variety of aquatic habitats nearby.

Fraser City
Fraser is best described as a giant sinkhole in the forest floor, with waterfalls cascading down the sides.

Thalassa City
Located in the middle of the Salient Sea on a small island, Thalassa City is the main rest stop for ships travelling across it. Buildings are built on the island, floating on the surface of the water, and even built underwater. There are hundreds of docks scattered about the city, with merchants lining the streets and town center.

Vernal Heights
Ancient trees quite literally hold this city up. The city is a popular vacation destination,

‎‎Audun Oasis
One of the main places that can be inhabited comfortably within the Agave Desert.

Iota City
Known as the city of innovation and technology in the future.

Windbreak City
The main city of interest focused on these stories. Windbreak is a relatively young city that is still growing. The city’s location to the coast has allowed for easy access and trade with ships on the Salient Sea, which has contributed majorly to the city’s growth.

‎Sootfall Port
A city known for its export in minerals and metals. Forged tools are sourced from here one way or another, whether it’s the metal they’re made from or the fact they were forged there. The city has a heavy concentration on trading with other regions, which has contributed to the city’s size.

Cyclone's Heart
The city is split, one section being on a flat plateau and another in the sheer cliffside and ravines on the edge of the plateau. Bridges connect the sides of ravines together, allowing for dragons to safely access homes and stores on the other side. There’s a large, year-round market that has a large variety of goods to be found, which has become the main appeal of the city. Many airships and their parts are often crafted here and several can be seen in the skies at all times.

Wintershield
One of the few cities that have decided to brave the heart of the two taigas, specifically the Fasach Taiga.

There is also a chance for the hatchling to receive a certain aspect of the species of one parent when they’re not the same species. They can also receive aspects from their ancestors as well, although that is even slimmer. Some species have a more likely chance to gain certain traits. For example, mirrors often inherit a scorpion tail from pearlcatchers. Almost all dragon species will often have varying traits that they can have. For example, a skydancer can have feathered or webbed wings, or even a mix of both. Or that imperials can have webbed wings or feathered wings. All dragon species have an extra eyelid which is clear. They mainly use them whenever in flight or underwater to help prevent wind and water from getting in their eyes. Most dragons who fly far on a day to day basis often wear goggles nonetheless as the clear eyelids can still be damaged, especially if a dragon is flying at high speeds. Whenever damaged, it’s unlikely for the clear eyelid to heal back up without magic, so most dragons don’t take any risks. There's an alternate method to creating eggs, which is through elemental magic. Only a specific type of elemental energy can be used to create eggs, which is often left untouched for normal elemental powers and dedicated only for making eggs. Elements Almost every single dragon hatches with an element. This is usually determined by the environment around them as an egg, mainly regions having a play in the element, but can also include items and nearby factors that can contribute to the element. Elements can also be determined by the parents, either the same element being passed down or mixing with another element to form a ‘hybrid element’ or even a new element. It’s rare for a dragon to have more than one element that they naturally hatch with. It’s also rare for a dragon to be hatched without an element, with dragons hatching with weaker elements being more common in comparison. The eye color of a dragon is dependent on the element that they have when they hatch. Of course, there are some situations where the eye color may not be related to the element of the dragon. While many think that all dragons with heterochromia have two or more elements, it’s rarely the case and the individual in question just has two different colored eyes. There are also other eye-related mutations that pop up every now and then, such as a dragon having an extra set of eyes. When using their element, the eyes of dragons will give off a glow as well as other parts of their body, mainly their talons, in which the magic is being casted from. Some dragons have a stronger than average elemental energy, which is caused by a variety of reasons, such as being hatched with it, specialized training, or enchanted by a god. Whenever a stronger dragon uses their elemental energy, they will have a similar effect to the glow, but instead it takes form in different ways based on the individual and their element. For example, a lightning dragon’s eyes and talons will produce sparks when their element is in use. Elemental magic is not to be confused with general magic/alchemy, where basic spells without any type of elemental affiliation or tie can be used by any dragon trained in such. These are often done through channelling one’s elemental mana and making it slightly weaker to achieve a different variety of spell casting. Unlike elemental magic, it comes less naturally and will often require vigorous training and extensive knowledge before a dragon can master it. Blood: An unusual and rare element, when an egg is exposed to dragon blood during incubation. Corruption: An extremely rare element, as a result, not much is known as to why it appears. Current theories connect it to being similar to shadow elements. Earth: From being incubated in a more rocky environment or one with less plants, revealing the dirt beneath, especially in caves or ravines. Common in Scoria Isle where all conditions are abundant, and the Agave Desert when the heat gets scorching during the summer months. Ice: From sudden cold temperatures during a short time in incubation, or from snow and ice in the general vicinity of the egg, even if it’s separated by walls. Common in higher altitudes or the two tundras, where snow and cold temperatures are prominent. Also common in dragons hatched during winter months. Lava/Magma: Similar to fire, although mainly influenced by lava or molten rock in general nearby, usually being extremely close to the egg that the fire element influences is overpowered. Commonly seen in the Scoria Isle. Light: From eggs being exposed to sunlight or general UV light for long periods of time. Common in the Agave Desert, and also the Burnished Meadow and Radiant Fields, which are also influenced by the light magic infused into the land. [nextcol] Lightning: Can be influenced by even a single lightning bolt in the general area of the egg during incubation. Severe lightning storms often lead to a stronger influence and thus a stronger element. Common in areas where dry lightning storms happen, namely in the Dryscoll Canyon and Ezra’s Rift. Lunar: When an egg is exposed to moonlight for long periods of time. Results in similar properties to the solar element, where the powers are affected and powered by the moon. Metal: A more rare element, usually caused by the presence of nearby ores or minerals that make up any sort of metal. Nature/Life: From nearby plants and general flora, common in the Reiziger Wilds and Faer Forest where plantlife is abundant. Pestilence: Another element on the rare side due to the influence being the presence of a widespread illness or disease in the general area. Plasma: Similar to lightning, although it’s often influenced by the presence of artificial electricity. More of a rare element as the egg could easily be influenced by any other element in comparison. Shadow: From eggs being exposed to long periods of sitting in the dark or from being incubated at altitudes below sea level. Common in areas that get low amounts of sunlight, especially during the winter. Solar: Akin to light, although more likely to happen from sunlight itself. The two elements are very similar, although solar elements are noted to be affected and powered by the sun more. Tornado: A rare element, similar to the storm elements, except there was some kind of large tornado that formed in the area the egg hatched in. Tropic/Storm/Tempest: Very similar to lightning to where it’s often mistaken for a lightning element. Usually influenced by major storms that were in the area of the egg while it was being incubated, such as hurricanes or tornadoes. Water: From being incubated near a major water source. Common along coastlines and on islands in the Salient Sea. Wind: From being incubated at higher altitudes where temperatures are still decently warm, or in environments that tend to be more windswept. Common in the Mistral Highlands and Draught Plateau, where such conditions are common for half a year or more. Although they still require a lot of training in order to fully master their element. It’s often suggested for all Harbingers to get general training to control their element, as there have been cases of elemental energy constantly overflowing and harming their user. Elemental energy can also flow out of parts of their body, mostly noticed in use. The most common would be the eyes, although other body parts can be affected such as the chest, arms, legs, wings, and end of their tail. Some have proposed that dragons are immortal from dying simply of old age. In the first week, they have a more delicate and fragile shell that is similar to a snake egg and will need to be kept warm for the majority of the day. After that, the egg’s shell will build up a plating that is much more sturdy and harder to break that helps with insulation and doesn’t need to be constantly kept warm by something. It’s even advised to either not constantly incubate the egg or incubate at a lower temperature to make sure it doesn’t get too hot. The plating will last for the next two weeks or so until the egg is close to hatching, in which the plating will flake off and reveal the original eggshell to give the hatchling an easier time getting out. While the egg is still able to retain some heat, it’s advised to closely monitor it and make sure it doesn’t get cold, similar to the first stage. Elements are commonly determined within the first phase, be it either genetically or based on environmental surroundings. The plating that comes in at the second phase makes it hard for any outside elements to influence the hatchling inside, and usually by the last week, the hatchling is well-developed enough that their element can’t be changed or influenced. Although this is not always the case, as sometimes hatchlings can end up with different elements, especially if the egg is transported around during incubation. Hatchlings with strong elemental powers are usually influenced in the first and/or third stages, when the eggshell is weaker and thus more susceptible to elemental influencing. Hatchlings with weaker elemental powers are usually influenced in the second phase, where the plating of the eggshell makes it harder for the surroundings to strongly influence their element. While not all groups, packs, cities, and so on will have a last name system, it’s quite a common thing to come across in the present day. When deciding what last name a hatchling will use, the default is the hatchling will take the father’s last name. Of course, this isn’t set in stone and the parents can negotiate about last names, or the hatchling may just take after whatever last name they’re given. Outside of conversations, last names are usually determined by the family history of the parents. The one with more history and/or importance will be chosen over the other most of the time. If both last names are of equal value, the parents can choose from either one of them or combine both of the last names together if desired. Light: From eggs being exposed to sunlight or general UV light for long periods of time. Common in the Agave Desert, and also the Burnished Meadow and Radiant Fields, which are also influenced by the light magic infused into the land.
Lightning: Can be influenced by even a single lightning bolt in the general area of the egg during incubation.

Heralds/Harbingers/Omens

Mainly called Harbingers, they’re dragons naturally hatched with lots of elemental energy.

Age

Despite there being a variety of different dragon species in Senrade, all dragons share the same general age chart with little to no differences. At the moment, it is unknown just how old dragons can live up to as in the past, most dying from means such as war, disease, and loads of other factors. Some have proposed that dragons are immortal from dying simply of old age. Due to Senrade’s past history of conflicts and just how large the continent is, it’s uncommon to see a dragon above the age of 500.

Eggs: 1 month of incubation after being laid.
Hatchlings/Newborns: 6 months
Whelps/Wyrmlings/Toddlers: 0-3 years
Dragonets/Kids: 3-8 years
Fledglings/Teenagers: 8-14 years
Young Adults: 14-65 years
Adults: 65-500+ years

Eggs and Incubation

Eggs have three distinct phases when incubating.

Last Names

Over time, dragons have come to adopt last names as more cities and towns become connected over the years.

Holidays/Notable Dates

Solsymber 1st: New Years
Marks the start of a new year and new beginnings. Dragons often get together with family or friends, hosting parties or celebrating in their own ways.

Tempsire 17th: Dancing Lights
Mostly celebrated in the southern hemisphere. The holiday roots from a tale of two lovers who lived in the Mistral Highlands. In the middle of winter, a harsh blizzard fell over the land that lasted for weeks on end and seemed like it was never going to come to an end. Despite the grim weather and sheer cold, the two lovers appreciated that they had one another, and one day ran out into the snow and danced together. During their dance, the blizzards came to a stop and gave way to the clear night sky above, where auroras formed and danced alongside them. Since then, the auroras come out every year on the same day to resume the dance. It’s a day to appreciate whoever you have, be it family, friends, or partners, and spend time with them.

Tempsire 20th: Winter Solstice (North)/Summer Solstice (South)

Astrust 20th: Fall Equinox (North)/Spring Equinox (South) | Eotera Observance
Often viewed as a celebration of nature and life in general. In the northern hemisphere, there’s more of a focus on respecting nature and observing all it has to offer, taking place in the midst of autumn when plants are dying or preparing for winter. In the southern hemisphere, there’s more of a focus on helping nature recover and grow, as well as making sure to help preserve the planet for future generations, taking place in the midst of spring when everything is regrowing from the cold. The two different views join together near the equator.

About Windbreak

General Information

The origins of Windbreak City can be traced back to the start of a clan known as the Lycan Pack. The clan would slowly grow over the years, leaderships being handed down and rivalries being formed with two other clans known as the Draven Division and Abide Legion. Not long into the start of the conflicts, they managed to come together and form a peace treaty between the three groups, creating Windbreak City.

Many dragons who live in the city are those from the times from the days of the clans, although many more are those who arrived after the city's creation. The cave entrance is at the base of the waterfall and goes far into the cliff the waterfall rushes down. Except for the first couple of caverns, the majority of the Diver's Cave is unexplored and uncharted, mainly due to the fact no one has bothered to do so just yet. Featherfall River: One of two rivers flowing down from the Twin Jade Ponds, Featherfall River twists through the Sycamore Plateau and eventually connects up to the Windbreak Canal. Birds of all types often nest within the sycamore forests around the river. [emoji=blue star size=1] Gustfalls Outpost: One of the outposts of Windbreak City, the outpost is positioned between the many waterfalls of Vitreous Falls. The outpost is the one who oversees any incoming trader vessels and notifies the city of their soon-to-be arrival. The dragons at the outpost consists of swift dragons who act as messengers and experienced warriors who can hold on their own until reinforcements arrive if trouble arises along the Hawk River.
Outpost Captain: Aonani
Hawk River: One of the main rivers that flow out of Roscour Lake, coming to an end as it reaches the Salient Sea. Hawk River is the river any trader ships coming from the Salient Sea take to get to Windbreak City. Majority of the river is slow running and is easy for ships to get upstream using motors or elemental magic, although there are some sections with rapids every once in a while. The river was named for the hawks that can be seen hunting along the river. Isle Refuge: A small cavern that can be found underneath a rocky overhand. The cave is found on a small island off the coast of Windbreak's territory and serves as a perfect getaway from the city without going too far from home. The location is often used as lessons for younger dragons of how to survive out in the wilderness by themselves. Link Delta: At the end of the Hawk River is the Link Delta, which, as one can assume by its name, helps to link Windbreak City to the Salient Sea. The delta allows ships to easily access the Hawk River due to its large size and slow running waters. [emoji=rainbow star 1 size=1] Stray Gales Settlement: A city older than Windbreak, having been around since the times of the Lycan Pack. The city had a major part in allowing the Lycan Tribe to thrive and thus eventually bring Windbreak into existence. Now, the two cities work closely together as allies. Sycamore Plateau: One of the largest plateaus in the territory, the plateau receives its name from the sycamore forest that covers many sections. The plateau holds the third tallest point within the territory, which would be the Twin Jade Ponds. The area is not often visited by travelers due to the fact there have been reports of a aves wolf pack living within the plateau. Traveler's Cavern: A cave not far from the city, dragons travelling by wing or foot can use it as a rest stop on their way to the city if they're too tired to make the rest of the trip. From the room at the cave entrance, the cave splits off into several other separate caves which have been set up into rooms filled with beds of all types to help traveler's get some rest. Dried food is stored in the entrance of the room and gets restocked whenever low. Twin Jade Ponds: At the top of the Sycamore Plateau resides two lakes that connect to one another. They mark the third highest point in the territory of Windbreak, as well as the center of the territory for a pack of aves wolves. It's advised dragons have an experienced fighter with them if they plan to visit the region in case of a aves wolf attack. Vitreous Falls: The name given to the area that holds many waterfalls of all sizes. The lakes the waterfalls pour down from receive water through a vast array of underwater rivers believed to be connected to the Salient Sea. Vitreous Falls is a common place for anyone stopping by the city to visit once they've heard of it. Warane River: One of the other rivers that splits off from the Twin Jade Ponds and eventually pours into the Windbreak Canal. The river is the location where the most aves wolf sightings have been reported. Some dragons have claimed that they've seen aves wolves fighting amongst each other. It has been concluded that it is most likely two packs fighting against one another and eventually inspired part of the river's name. The river is often also called Warwolf River. Whirlwind Beach: The coast of Windbreak City's territory. The beach is a mix between sandy shorelines and rocky cliffs lining up with the ocean. Many rocky outcroppings are located off the coast, causing most oncoming ships to keep wide from the beach until they reach the Link Delta. Northeast Sector Aves Wolf River: One of the more larger rivers in the territory, the river runs down and by the old lair of the Lycan Pack. Despite its name, no aves wolves reside near the river, which can be confusing for newcomers, especially when there's a aves wolf pack elsewhere in the territory. The river got its name due to the many fierce rapids it holds and is dangerous before it splits off. Canal Locks: A set of locks used to help any ships to reach the city from the valley. Five galleons at a time can go through each set of locks without any troubles. The locks are efficient and quick with the use of more modern technology from the Dryscoll Canyon and water elemental magic. The canal locks as well as the Windbreak Canal were originally a small river running from Spearhead Lake to Roscour Lake that was then modified to allow for the travel of ships. Fire Lookout Tower: A watchtower set up on one of the most central, highest points in the territory. It’s assigned to keep an eye out for any wildfires that may pop up during dry, hot summer seasons, built after one devastated land nearby that was too close for comfort. Lonely Cave: A small, underwater cave system within Roscour Lake that's close enough to the surface to allow for any dragon to reach it. The cave system has sections with large air gaps in several of the tunnels and caves. Oxygen is supplied by glowing plants and is the perfect getaway from the outside world, hence the name. [emoji=red star size=1] Lycan Pack Lair: The former lair of the Lycan Pack, one of the three clans that eventually created Windbreak City. Buildings are built within a cliffside and expand ever further under the ground. When one enters the cliffside, they're greeted by an extremely large, open roof with an opening at the top covered by vines, letting little light through. From there, tunnels are dug within different sections of the main room, leading to different caves that served different purposes. The lair is now used by the Tempest League. Overlook Plateau: A large plateau settled within the valley, overlooking Roscour Lake and the general valley, hence its name. The plateau is covered in a regular forest, a variety of plant life scattered about between trees. Inside the middle of the forest, it's all quiet as the trees block out the majority of noises outside of the plateau, making it a good hideaway location. Peril Cavern: The most well known cavern in Windbreak's territory, the large cave system's entrance is located within Pitch Lake. The entrance itself is a narrow ravine with many different tunnels leading all throughout the territory of Windbreak. Majority of the caves are underwater, although there are numbers of air gaps and caves above water dispersed in the cave system. Glowing crystals of all colors are scattered around the caverns that also hold elemental energy. The cavern receives its name for being extremely dangerous due to its tunnels being narrow along with the cave being a maze if one is not careful, dragons easily getting lost. The caves are also unstable and sections are ready to collapse at the slightest touch. The cavern is off limits, but dragons can still easily access it if they really want to as the area is not often patrolled or watched as much as the city may want it to be. Pitch Lake: The deepest lake within the territory, which holds several deep trenches. Pitch Lake is mainly known for holding Peril Cavern, making the lake a bit unpopular due to the dangerous cavern. Not to mention, the general lake itself is a bit perilous as well due to the ravines and swift, hidden undercurrents. Spearhead Lake: Another lake just outside of Windbreak City. Like Willow Lake, it acts as another source of water for the city. Ships departing from the city pass through the lake and follow a river back out into the ocean. The Overgrown Ravine: Behind the Overlook Plateau is a section of the valley that is filled to the brim with all types of plants. Trees of all types form a lush forest and plants cling to the edges of cliffs, hiding away the ground or any stone. All sorts of animals can be found residing within the small valley. Many sections of the Overgrown Ravine are uncharted due to how difficult it is to navigate and explore through the overgrown forest. [emoji=blue star size=1] Wildwind Outpost: One of the four outposts around the corners of the territory. The outpost stands on the second highest hill within the area. The outpost helps to keep an eye out on the ships departing from Windbreak City. Wildwind often oversees storms arriving from over the seas and is generally the main outpost to deliver warnings about storms about to arrive at the city. Willow Lake: A lake located near Windbreak City. The lake acts as the main source of water for the city and is closely monitored because of this. One of the rivers that comes off the lake ends in a swirl and there's many fables and tales about why its like that. The swirling river has been given the unofficial name of Gale River. Windbreak Canal: Leading up from the Canal Locks and into the city is an artificial, dug-out canal. The canal leads into the center of the city as well as back out into the ocean, helping to bring ships to the city with its calm waters. [emoji=rainbow star 1 size=1] Windbreak City: The city itself, positioned on a flat plains near a plateau. The homes and buildings are mainly built out of types of stone and wooden panellings, built to withstand any harsh winds the Mistral Highlands usually hold. The streets are made of stones laid together and twine all around the city. In the center of the city is an artificial lake, named Wisp Bay, that acts as docks for ships using the Windbreak Canal, which helps with importing and exporting goods. Southwest Sector Begonia Isle: One of two islands in the middle of Roscour Lake. The isle is covered in a variety of old trees. A large variety of plants and animals can be found on the island, including glowing lantern fruit accompanied by a range of different colored fireflies. Drifting Delta: A large delta that strays off of Rowtail Lake. The area around the delta is a more marsh-like environment. Willows are common in the area and often bloom in the spring time, making the area oddly colorful. [emoji=blue star size=1] Duskcrown Outpost: One of the four outposts in the territory, the outpost is a tower on a hill that overlooks the setting set in the evening. The other half of its name comes from the natural rock formation in the shape of a crown the outpost is settled by. The outpost watches over the valley the Reidrich Run goes through, mainly focusing on the state of the environment and making sure the area is healthy. Lashberry Cave: Caverns near the edge of the territory, the cave is filled with plenty of plant-life as well as elusive cave-dwelling creatures. Most of the plants glow in the dark and help to guide explorers deeper through the system. The further one goes into the caverns, the more common glowing crystals become, often reaching extraordinary sizes. Loop Stream: A set of streams that loop around and reconnect to Rowtail Lake. The isles between the rivers and lakes as well as the rivers themselves hold plenty of river-like, such as cattails and ducks. Reidrich Run: A rushing river that runs right into Roscour Lake. While it's one of the more aggressive rivers in the territory, the streams that depart off of the river are more calm flowing. Rowtail Lake: One of the larger lakes, Rowtail is mostly shallow but sections of the lake lead to underwater caverns and tunnels. Plenty of birds and other avian-related creatures reside in the lake. Verdant Crevice: A cave system on Begonia Isle, its entrance is believed to be a large sink hole that happened long ago. The caverns are filled with massive stalagmites and stalactites that are still growing to the present day. Portions of the cave system is underwater, some of the tunnels believed to go under Roscour Lake, although it still has yet to be fully mapped out. Southeast Sector [emoji=red star size=1] Abide Legion Lair: The old, abandoned lair of the Abide Legion. The cave system that originally held the clan has become unstable due to no maintenance and natural disasters. Former members of the legion may come back and try to restore it, but no big effort is made to keep it in tact. Depths River: The deepest river in the territory, the river leads straight into Pitch Lake. The river also has the steepest waterfall in the territory. It's advised to not go near the river as the undercurrents are strong and can easily sweep a dragon away. [emoji=red star size=1] Draven Division Lair: Another lair of a former clan that has been abandoned ever since Windbreak City's creation. While there is currently no effort to keep it maintained, the cave system is still in relatively good shape. Although, there's still sections that have been wore down or collapsed. Eclipsis Cavern: A cavern in between the Lunar and Sol rivers, hence the name. While there isn't anything notable about the cave, The Wayfarers claim it as their residence, unknown to the city. [emoji=blue star size=1] Galegrove Outpost: One of the four outposts in the Windbreak territory, the outpost is settled in a valley surrounded by trees and ambitious undergrowth. Lunar River: One of the rivers that branches off the Rowtail River and flows into Roscour Lake. At night, one can observe the glowing lichen as well as the nocturnal, glowing fish swimming about. Overseer Plateau: A plateau that overlooks Raceway River as it makes its way out of the valley. The plateau was originally used as a lookout back when the Draven Division, Abide Legion, and Lycan Pack were still fighting with one another. Raceway River: A rushing river that flows out of Roscour Lake and past the Overseer Plateau. Some dragons from the city have started to use the river and its many streams as a race course, mainly because of the tall hills and plateaus some of the rivers cut through. Roscour Lake: The largest lake in the territory, Roscour lake is connected to almost all of the water sources in the territory. The lake is filled with plenty of plant-life and fish, helping to keep the city fed. Galleons often hang out on the lake before heading up to the city after making the trek through Hawk River. Sol River: The second river that flows out of the Rowtail Lake and eventually makes its way into Roscour Lake. In the daytime, one can see the glimmering crystals that grow all throughout the river.

Northwest Sector

Diver's Cave: Nestled behind one of the largest waterfalls in the territory, Diver's Cave is quite hidden away to those passing by, but is revealing to those who take a closer look.

Gustfalls Outpost: One of the outposts of Windbreak City, the outpost is positioned between the many waterfalls of Vitreous Falls.

Stray Gales Settlement: A city older than Windbreak, having been around since the times of the Lycan Pack.

Northeast Sector

Aves Wolf River: One of the more larger rivers in the territory, the river runs down and by the old lair of the Lycan Pack.

Lycan Pack Lair: The former lair of the Lycan Pack, one of the three clans that eventually created Windbreak City.

Wildwind Outpost: One of the four outposts around the corners of the territory.

Windbreak City: The city itself, positioned on a flat plains near a plateau.

Southwest Sector

Begonia Isle: One of two islands in the middle of Roscour Lake.

Duskcrown Outpost: One of the four outposts in the territory, the outpost is a tower on a hill that overlooks the setting set in the evening.

Southeast Sector

Abide Legion Lair: The old, abandoned lair of the Abide Legion.

Draven Division Lair: Another lair of a former clan that has been abandoned ever since Windbreak City's creation.

Galegrove Outpost: One of the four outposts in the Windbreak territory, the outpost is settled in a valley surrounded by trees and ambitious undergrowth. Winds howl above the forest line while the outpost is settled more in the ground as a small den system with multiple entrances and rooms.
