Trigger Warnings: Lift/Elevators, Bugs, swarms
Dreaming Techniques: Self-Care, Meditation
At first, I was taking the lift to go somewhere but it got stuck. I had to jump out of it before it started to fall (and it was quite stressful for me, a person that hates lifts lol)
Later on, I was with my mother inside a luxurious, historical looking estate. The walls were all white and there were big beautiful windows everywhere. We walked around a bit before we climbed up the stairs to the upper floor. We sit down on a fancy bench in front of a huge window. I pay special attention to a weird-looking chandelier on the ceiling, it almost looked like a hammock, with Egyptian tapestry patterns on it... The thing gradually started to "shapeshift" into some kind of painting, it showed an empty easel on a black, messy background, almost looking like some kind of void or goo. I felt sort of intimidated about it and decided to look away. I walked towards the window, it was nigh time already (The dream started as it was day time), I decide to open the window for some fresh air, but instead of air we got a giant swarm of little bugs and dragonflies. I immediately woke up after this event.
Notes: I'm finding it difficult to understand some elements of the dream. The lift, ok, I have lift-phobia or whatever so it might be some incontinent fear showing itself again. On the bugs, part of it probably comes from the fact I left my window open in real life and thought "meh, hope the bugs don't fly in here while I'm asleep" before going to bed lol. The dragonflies are kind of a mystery for me though. The rest is just a big incognita...

I remember being excited about having something to put in after I woke up, but now I can't remember anything.
Didn't have great sleep last night, I woke up a bunch of times and had multiple small dreams, but I only remember two of them.

I swore really badly on flight rising forums and literally nobody said anything about it until I was scrolling through the forums and I was "Wait. Wait wait wAIT I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO SWEAR ON FR" and deleted it.

I was playing a song on the guitar (which I don't know how to play) to an audience of one, I don't remember who they were, if anyone, though. Apparently, I had written the song myself and it was exactly an hour long and was a huge deal for some reason, but only one person came to my concert.

No recalls again... oh well. I'll get that dream someday again
No recalls again... oh well. I'll get that dream someday again
hm... I've never posted here before, but I've been thinking about it for a while...
Hello, dreamers!
How long I've been at this: It's been on and off. I try to write down recalls when I can and I used to be really into dream interpretation when I was younger (dad got me two dream dictionaries, but I haven't really been using them).
My goal(s): Maybe a better way to remember my dreams since so much happens in them and they tend to be quite detailed. Being able to influence what I dream about would be nice too.
Things that show up a lot in my dreams: Violence/gore, exploration/new places/old places mashed together to make something new, family/friends
A little bit about me: I'm a 22 year old alumnus who studied game art. The video games and anime I love seem to influence my dreams, and boy do I have a lot of them.
I'll post the one I had last night [s](I could post some of the other, more memorable ones I've had in the past, but I don't wanna spam OTL.)[/s]

Trigger Warnings: needles, death, blood/gore, sickness/disease, apocalypse scenario
Dreaming Techniques: None
At first, the dream starts out as me watching a movie? I don't think it was a real movie, but it looked like it was filmed some time in the 80s. The plot was that there was some sort of bloodborne illness that was discovered on some military vessel. Some CIA agents or whoever do some investigating and try to let everyone know about it and stop it from spreading. They think they've isolated everyone with the disease, but a woman who has it tries to the boat they were keeping everyone on. The agents manage to intercept her and inject her with a vaccine. It reacts poorly with the disease and it gets very gory very quickly and she dies from blood loss. At this point, you would think that this movie would get a somewhat happy end and the disease will be stopped, but it gets worse.
The disease in question is like a kind of bacteria? It consumes water and turns it into a blood-like substance. Remember how everyone's on a boat? In the ocean? Yeah.
The bacteria thing gets into the ocean and begins spreading rapidly, turning all of the water into blood. Despite everything, no one can stop it and it has a catastrophic effect on the earth (fishing industry collapses, atmosphere is wonky because there's no real "ocean" anymore, nearly everything and everyone dies either from the disease itself or the fallout of the disease).
Then this, what I thought was an action/thriller/drama movie from the 80s becomes a documentary of "the new Earth" where things have evolved to thrive in a world where most, if not all the water, has become blood. One creature in particular that I remembered was an red megalodon that had glowing, orange stripes (cool).
It ends on a... positive note? Because the documentary showed that once all the water was gone, the bacteria died off, and some small droplets of water were beginning to form due to some volcanic air coming into contact with a cold front... or something.
Notes: current events have got me feelin' some kind of way huh
(hope i did this thing right *crosses fingers*)
