i can't imagine never using forums on sites like these, i like the dragon share too much. but i can definitely see why people would be intimidated by the forums, especially on a game that's been around for a good couple years.

i also have this chronic issue of never shutting the hell up, but that's an issue for a later date!

I did not start posting until this year (I think)-- and my account is six years old. I honestly-- didn't know how to interact with the community or why I would need to. I started finding pretty dragons for free and the rest is history.

Lots of people don't know the forum exists too haha

I wasn't very social when I first joined; it only took until around 2017 for me to start posting somewhat every week.

It could be a lot of reasons
they're not too social
they could be young and their parents could have rules like don't talk to strangers online
they could be more involved irl and just do little things on FR for fun
they might not even know about forums
they may not speak english
etc

I think it's interesting as well, because ya know, there's so much on the forums past socialising. When I started playing the first thing I did was look for dergs I wanted on forums so it is a bit hard to imagine

Oh I've seen a ton of people around like that, they're either lurkers or don't care enough about the forums to post. Like, I played Dragon Cave for nearly 5 years and never even bothered to check out the forums because they didn't interest me. It's just a different playstyle, not everyone comes on here to socialize.

I'm guessing either they're either not too social, don't know very much English, mostly just come on here to breed dergons and don't really pay attention to the forums that much aside from selling leftover hatchies from their breeding pairs, or are just a lurker.

I got many posts but one of my RL friends has 0 posts in almost 8 years... but it's their choice.
