So I have a few pairs of wildclaws for a multigaze project of mine.
One of the dragons I'm breeding is Naaldok, a long standing perma that I've had for years and even bred and sold some of his offspring, because back then I didn't care for having a clean offspring list in my dragons.
I go breed Blackwell, one of the cheap wcs I acquired off the auction house just for this breeding project, who is paired with another dragon (not Naaldok)
and I notice Naaldok is greyed out in the drop-down menu of the nesting ground
TURNS OUT SHE'S NAALDOK'S GREAT-GREAT-GRANDCHILD.
Unexpected family reunion hahaha Imagine how WEIRD that would be if they were just casually talking and this came up
Did that ever happen to you guys?
(By the way, Naaldok's former mate was also sold and she's apparently living happily as a lored perma in someone's lair)

Since how often I used to breed metallic/alloy obs/obs/gold I had a problem for a while where a lot of the ones I would find would be related to mine. Not so often any more but in the once instance I kept, I was looking for a Fire version of the combo and ended up with my Sealed/Priest(the current one's sister) grandkids with Firebrand.
Sealed/Priest > Thoth > Hiitroux > Firebrand
Which was an interesting thing, since Firebrand is supposed to be inorganic. No one wanted to look too deep into that though. [emoji=guardian laughing size=1]

I adopted a Mirror thinking it would be a good mate for my imp but when they were both ready to breed they were incompatible! I have no idea how they are related but they are!

i always check before i buy after hearing stories like this but it happens a lot when looking for breeding pairs
Oh my gosh This reminds me of a story.

I wanted to see how closely related they were and I didn’t think they were that closely related. Lathyrus’ great grandparents were born from clover and wesley’s parents were born from clover. Which makes Wesley their great uncle (removed?). Honestly this was a nice surprise though being weird.

when banes first came out I think I was the first if not one of the first to be breeding for orca/orca/cyan
I gave my friend one of their babies and she was excited to get a similar breeding pair, but she can't find a mate cuz it turns out that a good chunk of other XXY orca/cyan banes on the AH are descendants from mine and thus, end up being related to her bab, kinda weird to think about that my pair's lineage got so big O_o

I once found that there was a granddaughter of one of my perma dragons out there (back when I bred him) and I contacted the owner to buy her for myself. She was Plague, as well, which fit my lore perfectly.
Still one of my favorite small world moments.

Later on, I found this guy:

Turns out, they're all brothers! Looking at them now I don't know why I didn't guess it sooner, but I thought it was cool that on separate occasions I picked up some fooder dragons that all came from the same pair of parents.
But it doesn't end there! I was browsing through the AH not that long ago and saw this dude:

I bought him and got the feeling to check, and he's the father of all of them! I don't even know how I managed to stumble across all of these. I ended up buying the mother too, so I pretty much just kept buying a family of dragons one by one, on different occasions, without even knowing it, haha!

But it doesn't end there! I was browsing through the AH not that long ago and saw this dude:
I bought him and got the feeling to check, and he's the father of all of them! I don't even know how I managed to stumble across all of these. I ended up buying the mother too, so I pretty much just kept buying a family of dragons one by one, on different occasions, without even knowing it, haha!
