TOPIC | Theme Week: Familiar Keepers!
Meet Amika! She started out as an ambassador to the Beastclans, and eventually branched out to take care of any familiar she comes across!

A familiar keeper... what a fabulous idea. Currently, I have no dragons in my clan that are obsessed with familiars or really fit for this theme, but I guess I really must get to work on that. I have a few dragons waiting for lore anyway.

My clan leader loves aquatic animals!

I haven't written it into her lore yet, but she has a pond full of fish and loves to swim down rivers to befriend the local water critters. She's had lots of fishy familiars, but she's recently made buddies with a tiny crocodilan [emoji=familiar heart size=1]

Omg, the turtle queen, I love her!

This is Cregia, she's a nature loving dragon who lives in a hollowed out tree in the woods. She loves to take any familiar under her wing, no matter the size or species. The other dragons think she's odd but don't mind her company and the dragonets enjoy her stories of battling monsters in the forest.

This is Zanzibar! She looks after the familiars that don't belong to any dragons yet. She seems to get along better with the familiars than the other dragons in the lair!
There isn't one dragon in charge of familiar-tending at the Tabemono clan, everyone finds/takes care of their companion in their own way. The closest thing to a familiar-tender we've got is Ocha:

Ocha's got a biiig soft spot for critters of all kinds. Bugs, fish, sentient chairs—if he can pet it, Ocha's gonna pet it. At any given time there are between four and fifteen stray bumble hanging out in his garden. Only one bumble gets to come into the house, though. Its name is Strudel.

This lovely lady is Theodosia! She is Absalous' resident familiar keeper and is incredibly proud of it. She might seem soft and sweet but she'll whip anybody into shape if they step out of line, so don't cross her.

Sunburst is the clan's primary familiar caretaker. With a calm, kindly grandmother-ly disposition, creatures tend to gravitate toward her, so she ended up in charge of caring for familiars and finding the best dragon for them, her wings having become so cluttered with notes concerning each and every one being tied to them so they're no more than a claw's reach away if she needs them that she relies on Doodle (her red-tailed boa) and Snufflekins (her mainecoon) to help her keep track of them. These notes are very important to her, as they're used to document the health and wellbeing of every creature that comes under her care, and she'll whip them out at a moment's notice if she ever should need to instruct another dragon on how best to take care of their chosen familiar or if any familiar under her care (including those paired with other dragons) should become ill or depressed. She is also one of the heads of clan relations with beastclans, along with her mate and assistant Twilight, and instructs beastfolk who join the clan how things within the clan operate and which dragons to go to for whatever problems they have. As well, she happens to coincidentally be the one that beastfolk (and other dragons) will air any grievances they have to, since she is a quiet, impartial listener and is good at offering advice and hard candies like a doting, loving grandmother would.

Thunderclaw is the clan's tinkerer and maintenance worker for all mechanical familiars that join the clan. She loves machines in all forms to the point that she will gladly spend many sleepless nights trying to get a project on its feet and going without a care for her own self (or, occasionally, how much she might be disturbing other clanmembers' sleep). She is always the first dragon that Sunburst will bring mechanical familiars to and is the one that repairs any that break down or otherwise become damaged in any way.

Blair, while not a familiar caretaker per say, has a habit of accidentally attracting magically inclined familiars to her, particularly those touched by Nature, like herself. It's how she came to have both her cat and her toad, who are invaluable companions to her. A cheery (if also sometimes bossy and occasionally selfish) witch, she's glad to have this free and generally accepting source of ingredients for brews ("Can you believe how difficult it can be otherwise to get ahold of barkback boar clippings or cardinal hippogriff feathers?"). She takes perfectly fine care of them, thank you very much, and they're none the worse for wear for missing a few scales or claws or horns here and there. They'll grow back.

None of my dragons have permanent familiars because I like [s]getting gilded chests[/s] awakening them too much...

Thindroel is my clans residential familiar caretaker.
He's a bit of an introverted dragon and doesn't really seek out a lot of contact with other dragons actively. However, if you manage to get to know him, he's more than happy to help and once he get's talking about his passion, he won't stop talking. He keeps going like a waterfall.
He has a bit of a hard time seperating his work from other activities and has a few times slipped into sounds similar to the familiars he takes care of. In general, he's excellent at understanding critters and is usually quick to gain their trust to he can help and treat them.
