oohh I never was a fan of the steampunk but I do like some parts so I have a couple of dragons with them on, let's compare how they looked to how they look now!
Aeries had the wings

almost the same, I don't like the way it blocks the birdskull on the shoulder.. but other than that I'd say this is an improvement!

well, for being the [i]gold [/i]vest it's a lot less golden.. odd since the icon of the apparel has stayed the same, but the vest is white only now.
all in all I really like the new speampunk wing shapes, making them more feather shaped looks amazing! tho I'm still not a fan of how they force themselves up on the shoulders for aeries, but that's just for her specifically. I also would like it if the gold set got the color back but I don't mind too much.

They are gorgeous. (Sadly, the new look doesn't quite match what I wanted for the wings on one dragon of mine, but that's all right. The art is still awesome.)

At least the copper set. It was so pretty and green, and now it's not anymore.
I want to like this update but you ruined one of my favorite dragons. His green goggles are gone so until you replace them I can't say I like it.
