All birds actually have crops, it's just turned into something really bizarre in the hoatzin as the ridiculous bird attempts to digest leaves for some reason.

Fun fact: while hoatzin chicks are unique by having a full set of wing claws, many modern dinosaurs actually still have tiny thumb claws, usually entirely hidden by feathers. This is the Taonius Borealis, [s]and it looks like someone made a real-life creature from Spore.[/s] The Taonius Borealis is a glass squid that comes in trasparent, purple colors and can reach up to 18 inches in length. These guys live in the deep sea, and they feed on shrimp, small fish, and squids. Their natural predators are whales, sharks, and other squids. Something interesting about their big eyes is that they can laterally move them to the front or onto the sides, as seen in the picture above. This is probably my favorite odd animal I've done so far, although I wish there was more info about them.[/center]
