Hexaplex the hyena watched this little one hatch as she scavenged around the den for food. Though the others should have been watching the nests and the door against intruders, Hex slipped right in and snatched the hatchling straight from her egg debris. No not to eat, well maybe at first, but her motherly queen like status at her pack made her need to take the babe and her shiny coat back to their gold idol. Now, this was a hard task; the hatchling compared to her was a small tank that didn't even know how to walk, call or even see yet. It took Hex a bit to find a way to drag the hatchling out but not once was she discovered. This den site must be used to their calls, for once out and hidden with the hatchling, she yipped and called for just a bit of help. A few of her pack came eagerly to see her catch but a sharp ear nip got them from feasting on the drowsy dragon chick. Under her wings, lifting her tail and a careful bite to the neck had the troop carrying their new princess back to their idol. Of course, they only had her back for a little while before angered calls of dragons reached them. Most scrambled to keep out of sight but Hexaplex stayed right at the hatchlings side, tail thumping in happy. When the red giant of a dragon stirred up their idol site, a yellow one after it sped ahead to try and circle the statue. A hard bite to the nose was like a mosquito to the full grown Mirror but it hurt! Letting go to protect the chick, Hex and the mother were at a stand off. What was the mother going to do but send her to her homelands god, here, with the Scavengers she was a golden living princess that would live free. Mother and father growled, Hexaplex growled- her pack joining in after the quiet came through. Both wanted the chick. A deal stuck was not silent. Mother Red lifted their statue to a chorus of panic barks, but she flew off the way they barged in- home. Father Yellow chirped at their chick, her nose blew up dust when turned. To go or stay, no idol but un harmed pack and a dragon chick; Hex was torn but when ready she barked orders and the pack followed the yellow as he lifted the chick with ease. Clan Den now had a resident pack of Scavengers that were not to be eaten or their idol smashed. As long as Hexaplex had her gold chick, the dragons food and chicks were not eaten. Its a silent truce, but one where both benefit. Scavengers were always look outs and if one got in trouble some where a Clan Den dragon would go help. Gonna throw up my three subclan leaders here, since it seems appropriate... She decided to turn that vault into a historical and scientific project, a kind of archive for the history, culture, and biological diversity of Sornieth that will hopefully survive any potential cataclysm and prevent all that knowledge from being lost. (It is somewhat based on the real-life [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_Global_Seed_Vault]Svalbard Global Seed Vault[/url], which is a very cool thing with a somewhat narrower but still very important purpose.) He was once exalted, and worked for the Icewarden for years, until his clan was in need of a new leader and, deciding they wanted a blood relative of the old leader (Afon's sister), they elected to petition the Icewarden to return Afon to them. For reasons Afon still does not understand, the Icewarden did that. He's kind of confused about being thrust back into the world, bad at having emotions and dealing with a mortal life - he displays emotions on a delay or is easily overwhelmed by them, he sits lost in thought for days, he forgets to eat or sleep... But he is determined to do a good job leading his clan, and make their effort in bringing him back worthwhile. Vesna is a descendant of a certain avatar of chaos, the keeper of the gates to what lies beyond... and she is, perhaps, a little mad. She believes that there is power in her bloodline. She believes that if the correct rites and rituals are performed, she and others who share that blood might ascend to become minor gods - perhaps not on the level of the eleven deities, but far above ordinary dragonkind. She has gathered a small collection of others who share her bloodline, and is determined to elevate them all to godhood at any cost.

Clan Gernsabella exists for one goal, the exaltation of their Matriarch into the ranks of the gods. The clan's primary members, most trusted, and capable are housed within the primary complex located deep inside the plague domain. From her citadel Ahmaladeus issues orders to the various smaller clans that have been subjugated to her command, beast clans that have been 'persuaded' to aid her, and the few allies that are strong enough to have full autonomy. Dotted throughout remote locations are facilities designed for research and reconnaissance, all visited on a semi-regular basis by members of the clan. Through this network the God Queen works her plans, slowly conducting the trials necessary to undergo the ultimate evolution. Many notable individuals make up the clan, some who conduct experiments, some that act as her guardians, and some of those that are the experiments themselves. Oddest among her allies, though, is the clan scribe, not a dragon and not belonging to any beastclan, at least not one that has been around for a long time. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=8648339] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/86484/8648339_350.png[/img] [/url] "Revere Me." Name & Title: Ahmaladeus, The God-Queen (Matriarch of Gernsabella) Bio: Ahmaladeus, born to the plague flight, has taken the teachings of adaptability to the extreme. She studies magic and sciences ceaselessly in an effort to gain the knowledge to take control of the world for herself. Perhaps delusional she believes all of dragon kind will follow her commands as the "God Queen" and those that don't will be crushed by her Mystic might. She has an impressive IQ making her a brilliant tactician, a ruthless manipulator, and a prodigy caster, though a bit arrogant. The fact that she has designed a magic formula that allows her to shift her innate element briefly should be proof enough of her brilliance. That particular tract of research took up all of her time up until the point she decided to begin her own clan with her loyal guardian companion Gevelion. The guardian was the test subject for several of the magic techniques and many more strains of mutanagenic diseases Ahmaladeus needed to utilize in preparing her body for the technique she developed. The results of the diseases show in more than just her new magic, they also caused permanent changes to her physically. The growth of feathers on her wings and tail were unexpected, but in a twist of fate they were colored just right to have similar appearance to the peacock firebird. This is oddly appropriate as Ahmaladeus likes to display her status as much as possible, she even keeps a peacock firebird, often stating how regal they look. Despite all of her posturing and haughty nature, she does have manners when around those she has just met or those that are on equal grounds with her. Granted there are few who are on equal grounds with her individually (in her mind), but there are plenty of clans that could over power hers. She only makes enemies of those she thinks she could crush or reign in at a later date. Rarely does she leave the lair, preferring to send envoys or other clan members to do the work for her. When she does leave, she always travels with some of the more combat ready members of the clan. The clan she created, Gernsabella, is focused on one thing; advancing knowledge of magic and the elements for use of the control and betterment of the world. While Ahmaladeus is interested in world control to prove the power of the Plague flight's evolution, she also sees it as a way to end the conflict and launch the world into a more prosperous era. In her mind the only way to do this is to find a way to permanently imbue herself with all of the elements and ascend to god hood. Early research has shown that dragons from the other flights will be needed to gain that power, but it is unclear as to what is needed to make the elements coexist in a single body. This is the reason it has become common for Ahmaladeus to take in unwanted hatchlings and dragons of other flights. BBCode: [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=8648340] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/86484/8648340_350.png[/img] [/url] "Like the flame of this lantern my life burns because of her magic." Name & Title: Gevelion, First Knight Commander Bio: Gevelion was born to a clan separate from Ahmaladeus, but as Guardians are known for he left to find something to protect. What he found was the mirror Ahmaladeus and her goal to create world peace. Gevellion is the only one who could tell of a time that the God-Queen was gentler and only wanted the fighting to be done with. Granted he would never speak of this now unless his trust was fully won, but he still occasionally brings it up with his charge. The two of them started the clan with their four children, all of which were trained by Gevelion. Unfortunately for him he has been replaced with more specialized individuals, but ultimately freeing him up to stay with Ahmaladeus almost all the time. He often speaks for her when she does not feel it is worth her energy to raise her voice to even conversational levels. Due to this arrangement he often starts speaking before prompted and has been scolded on a number of times for some of his outbursts. Beyond being the God-Queen's personal Knight, he is still the commander of large field operations and is one of the few capable of adapting complex strategies on the fly. His combat prowess was enhanced early on due to Ahmaladeus experimenting on him with test strains of mutanagenic diseases. Most of them did nothing, some caused slight physical changes, others caused magical abnormalities, the biggest of which is the strengthening of his scales. Gevelion has a tough hide enhanced by his internal magic making him almost impervious. Though, a less pronounced change was the one's that happened psychologically. In order to keep him alive in some of the experiments and surgeries, Ahmaladeus had to put him into a trance like state. This was achieved by hypnosis triggered with a purple flame lit by magic. The conditioning has not gone away and Gevelion still caries the lantern used in the experiments. Seeing him on the battle field is one thing, seeing him in a trance is horrifying for those he is after. Overall, he cares for Ahmaladeus, and though he may not always agree with her methods, he will support her to the very end. While in her presence he will be strict, focused, and possibly vicious. On the battlefield he is committed to honorable combat and will lay down his life for those he is allied with. In private he is still a gentle soul, willing to aid those who are suffering and give advice if he can. His moral conflict between what his charge plans and what he believes is right can weigh heavy on him at times. While this rarely causes problems as his devotion overrides his beliefs, anyone who knew could probably exploit it to their advantage. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=11626687] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/116267/11626687_350.png[/img] [/url] "May the warmth of the sun always find you." Name & Title: Lumous, Elite Lair Guardian Bio: Lumous was once a commander in the lightweaver's armies, fighting on the front lines, coming to blows with the commanders of opposing forces. He was once an exalted hero, and he believed in his cause wholeheartedly. This was all in the past, before he witnessed his deity defeated in battle and almost perished himself. After an ambush by Shadowbinder during a clash between Lightweaver and Flamecaller forces, Lumous suffered his first defeat. Most importantly he saw his goddess wounded and forced to retreat by none other than their greatest foe. Long after the dust settled, Lumous woke up to a bloody battlefield having also fallen to the sneak attack. Broken and almost dead, he approached where he remembered the Lightweaver receiving the blow that forced her to retreat. There is where he found a tiny shard of her scale, still faintly glowing with her might. He took it as a reminder that the gods were fallible and set off with no purpose. He wandered the lands, not seeking anything, avoiding fights and any kind of contact in general. His listless travels lead him into the boneyards, where he figured he would fight the residents until he finally perished. Here is where he encountered the god queen and they had their grand battle. An entire day went by as they traded blows, both of them struggling to out pace the other's healing spells. That was up until Ahmaladeus used her trump card and soundly brought Lumous to his knees. Though in that moment he found something he could believe in again, the unification of power in one dragon. Having been impressed by his combat skills, Ahmaladeus agreed to take him in. His arrival was met with mixed feelings, but when he revealed the fragment of the lightweaver he carried Ahmaladeus made him one of her Elite guards. Lumous has lost any conviction to serve the elemental gods, but has gained the conviction to help create a God with no equal. His time in combat has proven useful in keeping the lair safe. He also proves to be a caring ally, despite his stern exterior he does his best to help heal more than physical wounds. Shortly after his arrival, Rune and Steel studied the fragment of the lightweaver and devised a new device. Lumous now wears a harness that siphons power from that fragment and focuses it into piercing beams. He has created many techniques centered around this ability, and it's doubtful it will ever run out as long as the lightwever exists. Whether or not the deity is aware of this fragment isn't known. [b]The Scribe[/b] Gernsabella is home to a rather unique creature that is often mentioned to be their scribe. When Ahmaladeus first had her children excavate the lair they found a buried piece of strange technology. Inside this sealed pod was a reptilian figure that did not belong to any of the beast clans. On a whim the God queen had the device opened which awoke its occupant from some kind of stasis. The creature attempted to fight with magic, but its time asleep left it weak. Pinned by the carrion siblings it offered some finale, incomprehensible words. The God queen, however, had become curious and ordered the creature to be restrained so she could learn more about it first. Luckily, the device it was sealed in also contained a number of old devices that had some functionality. One such device just happened to be a translator. When Ahmaladeus presented the devices this was the first one to be utilized. The creature had recognized a foreign language when it was spoken and figured its survival would be better guaranteed through diplomacy. He was right, using the magic device he spoke to Ahmaladeus, who was quite curious, and explained who he was. This creature was a relic from a time when a great reactor was built, the very one that birthed the Arcanist. His team was responsible for the design, and the realization of a major flaw just before activation was the only thing that saved him. He had protected himself in a Stasis chamber designed to withstand such an event. The chamber, however, was damaged none the less causing it to never open. Ahmaladeus, intrigued by the possibilities before her, decided that the creature would serve her. Having no real choice, he agreed, and now helps organize and bolster his new dragon allies. Don't discount his talents on the battlefield either, when push comes to shove, he can hold his own now.

"Revere Me."

Name & Title: Ahmaladeus, The God-Queen (Matriarch of Gernsabella)

Bio: Ahmaladeus, born to the plague flight, has taken the teachings of adaptability to the extreme.

"Like the flame of this lantern my life burns because of her magic."

Name & Title: Gevelion, First Knight Commander

Bio: Gevelion was born to a clan separate from Ahmaladeus, but as Guardians are known for he left to find something to protect.

Name & Title: Lumous, Elite Lair Guardian

Bio: Lumous was once a commander in the lightweaver's armies, fighting on the front lines, coming to blows with the commanders of opposing forces.

My clan is divided by two parties. The [u]cavebats[/u] and the [u]wastelanders[/u]. Both originate from abandoned, unhatched eggs (like in mass-hatchings). [b]Fudgies Birth[/b] Stomping noises echoed through the valley of stones, a Cragbacked Bouldursa was searching for food between the stoney gaps of her realm. It was a dark but warm summer evening as she found not food, but an unusual small dragon egg in front of her feet. She sniffed it, rolled it over and licked on it - her stomach grumbled heavier. She wasn't sure if this tasty looking rock was even edible, because it tasted not just like stone or earth, it had an extraordinary aftertaste. "Somehow sweet", she thought. The warmth of the sun was almost gone, as the little egg began to crack open. The Bouldursa startled backwards and almost tripped over her own legs. "How could a sweet stone suddenly crack open?", she mumbled. Fur spilled out and a soft whimpering noise was hearable. Once again, she looked closer as suddenly, a dragon head poked out of the pebbly egg. The hatchling imediatly screamed for the creature infront of him. The Bouldursa was astonished and mournful at the same time. It was a dragon egg!, she thought surprised. "How could anyone leave a baby behind?"
