THE VAULTKEEPERS

Clan Firnhold is a small clan in the Cloudscrape Crags, just beginning to build a functional living space out of what was once a paranoid guardian's isolated bunker.

They are dedicated to the collection and preservation of artifacts and documents of this age and those before, as well as stockpiling seeds and genetic material of dragons, beastclans, and wildlife. In the event of the next Sornieth-wide disaster, they hope to survive and rebuild.

This tundra tribe has lived on the land near Firnhold's vault since long before the vault even existed. They have accepted the growing clan of newcomers up on the mountain with good-natured cheer, and offered them assistance in surviving in the harsh environment of the Icefield.

Fierce survivors, they hunt and scavenge, wage war against hostile beastfolk, and often trade with the Firnhold folk, food and leather for supplies and trinkets from the north.

CLAN TERRITORY
Few find this place by accident. Nestled high in the Crags, this settlement seems to have been designed for inaccessibility - there are no easy roads that lead here, and air travel is a deadly gamble in the wrong weather. With clear directions, clear skies, and perhaps an escort from the clan... you should make it here in one piece.

It's not much to look at, a small collection of beastskin tents clustered against the mountainside like birds seeking shelter. Further investigation reveals a narrow cleft in the bare rock face that opens up to a massive cavern, carved out of the mountain by dragon claws alone. Glittering treasures lie in guardian-sized heaps everywhere; artifacts large and small balance precariously on top of each other, shoved haphazardly anywhere they'll fit.

Though not yet fit for habitation, the vault of Firnhold is certainly something to behold. Just... try not to touch anything.

Happy to announce that after joining our Society, the child of Ghost and Nimbus, Cirrus, has taken on the career of a travelling arctic zoologist! You'll be seeing him lurking around here trying to study snow hares without scaring them.. :D
