So, our party was travelling through the woods to get to the next town. We get attacked by wolves with glowing red eyes out of nowhere. As soon as we have defeated them, the NPC we were escorting (who happens to be a high-ranking spy for the local rebellion against the Evil Empire) decides to run after them. One of my friends and I begin chasing her. Our wizard unharnesses the horse from our cart and takes off through the woods. Our cleric jumps onto the back of the horse and tries to get the wizard to leave it alone.

We're all running through very quickly, none of our characters know what's happening, when suddenly we reach a clearing and see the NPC crouched in battle position in front of a whole lot more wolves. I grab onto a branch to bring myself to a stop. The fighter running with me leaps into the air and lands in front of the NPC in a superhero pose. The wizard vaults off of the horse and into a battle position. The cleric frantically manages to get the horse to stop.

We fight off the wolves and our wizard decides to take the magic artifact that was compelling them to fight. As we walk back to our cart, the cleric hisses at the wizard when he tries to get back on the horse. I try to reattach the branches I barreled through earlier. The cleric uses Prestidigitation to make it look like they're sticking until I turn around.

In addition, my character (who's a tiefling paladin) has basically adopted our party, a troupe of street kids, and a forgotten god. Our cleric affectionately refers to her as "Meatshield". I love Dungeons and Dragons.

One time, my druid was beast shaped as a rat to try and sneak into the black market lock up building with another party member polymorphed as a rat. Said party member got caught, so my druid ran up a guys pant leg; to the back of his shirt and resumed her normal form while still inside this guys shirt; while he was wearing it.

That's fair, but most if not all people who tabletop have some sort of awkwardness. But that is also a benefit of online kinda. It allows you to get to know a group before you completely settle in to play. For those who recruit folks, at least from the games I see, they have some sort of way for the players and gm to get to know one another some and see how they'll get along and what not.

I guess you're right. Well, maybe it's more about me trying to get myself out there more or so.

Well, once, an old friend of mine who used to play told me about one time their GM gave them the Deck of many things, and they got talons, and they lost every single magic Item that they had, which was a problem, since most of their team was made up of magic users.

Also, there was something about someone trying to get them to play a game called Fatal? But I wasn't listening too hard because I was hungry.

I’m currently in two campaigns right now (one of which I DM, and the other I’m a player), and even though I haven’t been playing very long, I’ve already got hilarious memories.

In the campaign I play in, we were just going about our business when we happened upon a sentient door (I named it “Door with an H,” or Dohr/Dhor). Door with an H promised us that behind it was riches beyond our imagination, but we had to take all of it at once, or we’d die (the idiot of the party eventually tested and proved Dohr/Dhor’s claim). Anyway, after a lot of talking with this stubborn door who wouldn’t open, I gave up and rolled to throw a coin at it.

Nat 20.

I got Door with an H right in the eyeball, and it swung open.

Dhor/Dohr had not lied about the treasure behind it, and looking back, I’m glad I hadn’t decided my character was a pirate yet because otherwise she would have insisted on getting all the treasure (we ended up leaving, granted with one less PC, haha).

My other one stems from the campaign I’m currently running. The players were underneath a temple looking for the cause of the otherwise very busy temple’s shutdown. They happened upon a large room where cultists were attempting to subjugate a Medium Fire Elemental. After killing (most) of the cultists, the party was stuck with a predicament. Release the elemental, to do whatever it wants (the cultists planned to release it upon the city), kill it, or try and befriend it?

Being the Chaotic Good she was, the bard attempted to send it back to the Elemental Plane of Fire (it didn’t work, I don’t remember why), and then tried to become friends. She looked in her bag, and found some carrots she had been keeping for a while. “What if it likes orange?”

Nat 20 Persuasion.

The Fire Elemental is still with the party to this day, and its name is Dante.
Also, there was something about someone trying to get them to play a game called Fatal? But I wasn't listening too hard because I was hungry.
Seriously?! I hope you misheard him, or that guy was joking. Because a game called FATAL exists and... I don't know how to describe it. But it's the worst. Literally the worst. There's a good summation of some of its problems on this page. Anyway, my schedule right now isn't exactly conducive to regular gaming sessions, but my brother and his friends play regularly and take turns GMing. A lot of sci-fi because most of them prefer it, but a few of them like fantasy as well and they've done fantasy campaigns in the past. Their most recent campaign was science fantasy, so my brother played a gunner alongside a barbarian and a mage. The GM made character sheets for everyone with pictures of their PCs, except he couldn't draw for nuts so they were basically all blobs. But they all had fun drawing in the details and equipment. Things soon got more ridiculous. Every time they had an opportunity to buy better weapons, they had an option to upgrade their current one. Needless to say, my brother never bought another gun. Towards the end of the campaign his starting pistol was three times his PC's height on the character sheet, bristling with attachments, and dealing much more damage than any pistol had the right to do. And he was still wielding it one-handed, by the way. Then right before the climatic showdown with the final boss, the GM let him upgrade his gun one last time. He proceeded to kill the campaign boss in one shot and break reality as a result. The boss wasn't even a cosmic keystone or anything like that. The universe just collapsed from all the dakka. To be fair, I'm pretty sure the GM planned this, because he announced that the rest of the campaign would be them going around fixing the damage to reality. And my brother had to remove that uber-upgrade. My brother still talks about it as the best campaign he ever played.

Bro, I may not know much more than you do about this stuff, but I do know that you DO NOT EVER IN YOUR LIFE mention that game. Also, I wouldn't look it up...Well, you can, but you...shouldn't.
