She knew all about hatchlings.........and when the babies were all running/flying around she could keep them entertained, and educate them at the same time. How could they not love a dragon who wears a helmet with no armor! She was so silly!

He's at least 5 times larger than most of the other dragons in the clan, large enough to wrap himself around the nesting grounds and still have the front half of his body free to deal with energetic hatchlings. He also has a much calmer and more contemplative attitude than most of the clan, so he doesn't mind being left behind most of the time. He's not ancient, but he's been with the clan for over a year at this point, since not long after he hatched, and, beyond youthful fantasies of battles and magic, he's never considered another role.

The Wayward Clan's lair does not see many hatchlings through, and most of those are lost little ones, lead in from without. As such, most of the clan is inept at caring for hatchlings... of all of them, Nebula and Galaxy take the most care to watch over any little ones who find themselves in the lair, teaching them to fly and to hunt and about the world they live in, before they are grown enough for Ciara to take them under her battle-scarred wings to prepare them for their eventual departure to shadow mom's neverending battle. She is sweet and loving to the babies, teaching them everything they need to know to be productive members of the clan. But cross her at your own risk, as she is fiercely protective of the little ones and can quickly end any threat, regardless if its beastclan or dragon. She also helps knew parents with what to expect when their clutch finally hatches, and keeps track of the birth records of the clan, as well as who is related to who and who comes and goes from the clan. She loves hearing from her hatchlings even as they grow up and loves to see them create little hatchlings of their own.

She used to have a lover and they had a nest together, but all of the hatchlings disappeared, maybe they got lost, maybe they were kidnapped, nobody knows. But ever since she has been too scared to have children on her own. So she opted for taking care of all the hatchlings of the clan as their guardian and teacher.

He is the clans retired general and thus a seasoned warrior, but now enjoys tea and watching after kids. He is very caring and patient, but stern if needed. Kids love him, he is usually called "grandpa" by both hatchlings and other adults

While my clan sort of collectively takes care of hatchlings, Sayvil is probably the most notable influence in their lives besides their own parents. She is always present at the time of hatching for each nest so she can evaluate the hatchlings health, and is the one who teaches them all they need to know before they choose a path to take in the Clan or leave for greener pastures.
