@iarih Both of those latter Pearlies were a step in the right direction! I might have picked the middle one because I'm slightly biased against Smoke, but to be fair, it's not like Okapi can be too much better. (Of course, that all depends on colors -- I feel like any genes can work with the right colors involved.) I do adore that Guardian! Looks like you're most likely not stepping out of Hex or Smoke for a while, but Vipera might be shuffled out with Bar and that could lead to some interesting combinations. I'm looking forward to seeing where your challenge goes!

@NSRachel It all depends on someone's playstyle. Me? I almost never keep a dragon for long. My only permies that are currently on my account are Veridios, Cumulus, and Heliconia. My random progenitor, Pheonie, will join them once she returns from the Gladekeeper. I didn't exalt my Breed Out the Ugly Challenge founders (Tarnish and Anthracnose), though; they currently have happy permanent homes with a friend of mine who actually quite adores the brand of ugliness they share.

However, plenty of people are keeping their uglies! Some have become personal gene projects since they can look good as the right species and with different colors; others have become permanents due to their lore and have been given attire to bless them with a unique look that -- honestly? -- can be pretty nice! I also know of at least one person who's keeping theirs for fodder-breeding purposes since their founder is a starter breed and hence has that short cooldown. It really just depends. c: You may do with your founder what you wish.
