[b]"Bring me this escaped prisoner using whatever means necessary. If anything or anyone gets in your way, demolish it." [/b] she whispered the last part and flicked her tongue out. Toxic turned around and grabbed her silver armor. [b]"I'm going out as well. She will be found." [/b] Her claws wrapped around a pack of razor sharp knives with smooth, carved handles. Perfect for striking down a victim. A thought occurred to her as she was preparing to leave. [i]What if she wants to find my sister? What if this is the spark that the kingdom needs to rebel?[/i] She shivered and threw a few rations of food into a satchel. [b]"She won't last long enough for that."[/b] Toxic whispered out loud to herself and spread her wings. The skydancer beat her wings and took to the skies in the direction of the ocean.[b] "No dragon will ruin my wonderful rule." Due to his large size, he was able to carry a rather large weapon. He pulled the blade out of its sheath, checking it over. The silver metal glimmered as it came into the light. It's handle was carved and laced with several emeralds and sapphires. On top of that, it was balanced and easy to use. A truly fine weapon for a large dragon. Sliding the sword back into its case, Nightshade looked into the sky and snarled. [i]Time to prove myself to the queen. That I and only I am the best imperial in the palace. [/i] The imperial spread his wings and jumped into the air. Leaves and dust whirled as he left the ground. He snaked through the clouds, flying faster and faster. Though he preferred to walk, he could handle himself in the air. Nightshade suddenly roared as loud as his lungs would allow. It was one of anger and hatred. Hatred for the nocturne and Ameth. She cursed under her breath. They'd already found her. In a matter of hours, she would be dead. Then the dragoness heard a voice. Why did it sound so familiar. [i]Anubis. [/i] she thought with a hint of relief and kept low to the ground. Once again, she was wishing for much duller scales that might help her blend in with her surroundings. Controlling her breathing, Echo managed to remain silent. [i]If they come inside I am doomed. [/i] Echo thought angrily and placed her head on the ground. Blood was still dripping from her stab wound and the knife protruded from the right side of her stomach. [i]This could not be any worse. Just leave you stupid dragons.[/i] Echo pulled in her wings tighter and stiffened when the guards spoke of coming inside. She had been hoping that they would just leave.[i] Obviously that's not happening you nosy little brats. If I wasn't bleeding out right now, I would have clawed all your faces off and shoved your eyes down your throat.[/i] [center][b] Ravensong[/b][/center] (Reposted since there was no response :) (Hey really quick! I'm not sure if it's just me and my habit of being overprotective of my characters and their personalities (Takes me a super long time to develop them so I can understand how they will react in certain situations.) But I was noticing how in some of your posts you would say things such as [i]She sensed Raven's confusion[/i] and a few other things like that. Knowing Raven, she wouldn't be confused. She would be more nervous and might suddenly retreat into her own head due to her own mind being cluttered. I sometimes just get a bit nit picky with little things like that. Part of my personality XD Just thought I'd let you know that was how I was feeling. One pearlcatcher and one skydancer. Mystic's voice sounded farther away. Raven could feel the connection starting to weaken. [i]It's my fault this time. [/i] she thought guiltily and suddenly severed the connection all together. She'd had enough for one day. Raven watched the new dragons nervously and occasionally flinched each time they moved. As the minutes passed though, the dragon began to relax.[i] At least these dragons don't shun me. Not yet anyways. [/i] (Gah! Such huge writers block it's not even funny!)

He was so small, the Queen probably didn't even notice him. He was OK with being poked fun at, because he knew he could just rip any hope out of his enemies' heart. And he only needed to bide his time. Mistake turned, drifting away through the air like a puff of smoke. He flew under black Imperials, over the castle, and away. It seemed he was minding his own business.. But in reality, he was hunting for that wretched Gold Nocturne, and he knew they were close, he could smell it... And also see the small party of guards making their way through the forest. All he needed was to find that Nocturne and bring her before the Queen.. Or, he could attack a much lesser-known issue- the Forgotten Princess. Yes, it seems like a long-shot, but it might be worth it in the long-run. Finding the princess might be the biggest opportunity to getting a place in this world, especially one that induces terror and fear. Loki veered through the air, landing gracefully on the edges of the forest. He gave one look back, and started forward- knowing all well that Jötunn may be captured, but that temperamental bear was the least of his concerns. He had a big picture, one that enveloped the whole world.. And he wasn't about to let it slide- not this time. The guards pressed a little closer, sticking their head around Anubis to watch their nosy friend. Some started murmuring words like 'come on' and 'just get in there and take something!' [b]"Hey wait a second."[/b] The guard's eyes narrowed, spotting the Nocturne. That's when Anubis acted, catching the guards off guard. He slashed through the WildClaws' thin feathers in key points in the throat, quickly killing three of the seven. The others retaliated, being a Tundra, SkyDancer, and Fae. Searing pain split across Anubis' side as a spear lacerated it. Anubis lurched forward before slashing through the Tundra's pelt and killing him. He pretty much crushed the Fae, and then faced his sixth foe- another SkyDancer. [b]"I'm sorry my brethren, but you have made one of the worst mistakes in your life"[/b] Anubis murmured before attacking. The SkyDancer put up a good fight, claws flying and teeth gnashing, but Anubis was quite skilled whether or not he showed it, and ended up killing his assailant. Anubis stopped, breathing hard. His hood and mantle was in tatters, now stained red with his attacker's blood. A shadow loomed over him. Anubis looked up, gold eyes ablaze, but nothing compared to the unholy rage in the cyan eyes of his last opponent. [b]"My guards should've killed you on the spot, boy. 'Suppose it was your pretty face, and the false wound."[/b] Ion spat, eyes starting to glow and spear tip crackling with electricity. [b]"I ain't playing around like my boys, and 'suppose you ain't either."[/b] the WildClaw hissed. [b]"Then quit talking."[/b] Anubis' gem suddenly morphed from black to a beautiful, sunshine yellow, his maw opening and arcs of light spitting from it. He lifted his head, a blaze of pure light radiating into a beam and blinding his last assailant. With that much force, Anubis was sent sliding back through the shifting sand, ending up twisting his hind leg with a forceful 'Humph'. The WildClaw shrieked, clawing at his eyes before switching to his other keen senses- smell and hearing. Anubis saw black and red blotches, pain echoing through his wounds like a million needles. He was suddenly kicked backward, hitting a tree behind and sprawling onto the rocks. A jolt of electricity coursed through his body, obviously the work of the WildClaw. With the last drop of magical energy he had in him, he surged upwards, dagger stabbing through the guard's maw. Anubis crumpled forward, a faux knock-out, but Ion had other ideas. The guard turned, determined to tell Queen Toxic the whereabouts of the Nocturne, and the news of her betrayer, and he was soon out of sight. Anubis got to his feet, shakily rushing over to Echo, tripping and skidding like a newborn dragon. [b]"I apologize you had to see that."[/b] He sat near the cave entrance. [b]"But I think we should get going. The guard will be on us, perhaps in a matter of minutes."[/b] Anubis took in an unsteady breath, obviously mentally and physically drained. [b]"I need you to listen to me carefully. Get. Away. From. Here. No excuses, no ifs ands or buts. If you need to stop somewhere, stop at the Frostholme inn at the very edge of town- there are members of the rebellion owning that place. They will take you in and care for your wounds. And eat this"[/b] Anubis pulled out Horsetail. [b]"This will help you with vitamins and minerals, and will give you a nice boost of energy."[/b] Anubis winced, a jolt of pain zinging through his spine. [b]"Hurry! They'll ask for a code word at the inn.. It's [i]*Persvek wer kornari, wer sepa wharacic dormant[/i]![/b] He cried, getting to his claws and pacing in a circle, gold eyes ablaze. Anubis looked, in reality, horrible. Multiple wounds laced their way across his now darkened feathers, his white Okapi markings a terrible crimson. He tried to spot his ship amidst the vessels docked to the port. No ship in sight. His ship was probably somewhere further down the coast. He spotted a few coastguards along the docks. No, the coastguards couldn't have heard the Queen's words that fast yet! Word can't spread that fast can it? The Skydancer skimmed through the air, heading further down the coast. Spotting his ship, he glided down to towards the shipyard grounds. Hopefully, the others were following along.
