The dragon, a young pearlcatcher with a green circuitry pattern across his grey scales, clutched the nature egg as if it was his own pearl. He set the egg within the clutches of the branches, hiding the egg so that it wasn’t visible over the tops of the leaves. He sat down in front of the bush and just watched the area where he placed the egg. Eventually, the sound of the egg hatching became audible. The sound was similar to a woodpecker pecking at the bark of a tree. A small guardian poked his head out of the top of the bush.
