If you're indeed serious about how to spend your money, I have some suggestions:
The Marketplace

If you go here, you can shop from the Flight Rising stores (these are owned by the site, and not by individual players so the prices are all set). You can shop by treasure or gems, and look at different categories such as Apparel, Battle, and even some Scrolls to change the breed/species of one of your dragons!
Auction House

This is the "store" that has content contributed by the players. Here, you are buying items from actual players of FR so prices here can fluctuate. You can choose the category you wish to browse... much like in the Marketplace. You can sort by price (which is handy!) and whether or not you want to buy gems or treasure. This is also where you can buy dragons!
Dragons for Sale on the Forum

This is where you can see dragons that people are offering for sale or for auction prices. The users set the rules of the sale or auction in the threads and the transactions are then handled through The Crossroads (which is the safest way to trade/buy dragons without them being listed in the auction house!)
Shop for custom Skins

Many users do custom skins for dragons and you can browse some for sale here. More often than not they require you to purchase the blueprint, but for the right amount of treasure they may do that themselves. I can't really say too much about this since I'm not a skin maker, but the players who create the skins can fill ya in!
Sit and hold on to your treasure for a week or so for the next dragon boon!
Many players have upcoming breeding heats for their dragons... so in maybe 10 days or so we are going to see a HUGE amount of dragons... of all species... hit the market and the prices of dragons may actually go down because of this. You might be able to snatch a really nice rare dragon for the amount of coin you're toting! Heck, by that time you'll probably have more coins!
I would recommend buying a familiar to give to one of your dragons. Familiars offer your dragon extra treasure every day if you visit it and click the little heart button every day. You can buy a familiar from the Auction House, Market Place, or even find one scavenging or in the Coliseum. My familiars give me treasure every day and are really earning their keep!
You can also buy some Apparel (clothes) for your dragons to make 'em look all decked out. You can find Apparel in the Auction House and the Marketplace. Check the prices and availability to see where you get the best deal. Sometimes the Auction House is cheaper. Other times the Marketplace is (but you have to stalk it to make sure you get the item you need whenever it stocks! Steampunk stuff goes fast! ASK ME HOW I KNOW LOL)
Also, please don't let anyone try to beg money off of you! <3
