There are newbies who complain about the 2 second lag in the coliseum and then there are veterans on here who have experienced flight rising actually lag. I'm glad it's much better, though.

I would too if I had it. I joined in July and I honestly didn't see the appeal until I had other friends who started playing so I missed a few months, the months full of lag and displeased players, which had its pros and cons.
