TOPIC | Question WRT lair size and eggs
This might seem like a silly question, but does your lair size affect how many eggs dragons will lay?

Currently, I have two slots left in my lair, and four dragons that I'd like to breed. Now, I do know I can increase my lair size (and plan to do so), but I'm also wondering what would happen if I theoretically bred some of my dragons before doing so.

Would I only get a maximum of two eggs to fill the last two available slots? Or would some of the new hatchlings automatically go into the hibernation den?

@SenseofDecay

no, nest sizes are independent of Lair spots available. if you do not have enough room to hatch a nest, the button to do so will remain greyed out until you open up some room for the hatchlings.

No. Lair size has no effect on clutch size.

Odds

If there is not enough Lair space to hatch all the eggs in a nest you will be alerted on the nest that there is not enough room and you will be unable to hatch the nest until you have enough space. Your dragons' cooldown will continue to countdown and nothing will happen to the eggs. They can sit there forever if you never have space or if for some reason you choose not to hatch them when you do have space.

HDen space does not count as free space to hatch dragons into.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
I see! Thank you both for the answers! :)

You can't hatch a nest if you don't have active lair space for all the hatchlings, the hatch button is grayed out. You can hatch a nest, go make room and then hatch another if necessary. In your case, for instance, one 2-egg nest could be hatched, the others would be grayed out unless they were also 2 eggs. A three egg nest could not be hatched until space is freed up. There's no mechanical connection, just some confirmation bias/superstition that you get bigger nests when your space is tight. [emoji=pearlcatcher laughing size=1]

Nest Rentals! I offer Fire nests here at 2kt a pair, no lunch boxes needed. Warning that I am a 12-hr shift night worker and might miss a day on incubation here and there. :(
