TOPIC | Coliseum speed up and exalt question
Was wondering if there was a faster to do Coli. I'm new and I've looked up a few guides, have three babies with scratch and shred and it takes forever. Is there an item to increase exp or is it just a long grind.

Another question, when you exalt do you always want it to be lvl 20? Is it better to to have 2 level 20s then power level a low level or better to just work on 3 new ones everytime.

@Bourimly getting your first dragons to maximum level (lvl 25) will always be a slog, that's the unfortunate truth. once you do that, though, you can plop two high-level trainers and a lvl 1 dragon into a high-level coliseum venue, and the lvl 1 dragon will progress very quickly! if your high-level trainers are melee fighters, the 'eliminate' battlestone will be extremely helpful with increasing the speed of each battle.

it is much slower to try and train all three dragons at once starting in low level venues, and if you plan to exalt it's best to exalt the dragon at around lvl 5-9 (depending on how much patience you have - any higher has diminishing returns).

Bad news first:

I'm not sure what guide you're following but your dragons are hitting like they were a level or two lower as well as being a bit too slow to finish off monsters before taking excessive amounts of damage.

Irvine isn't bad off but Amrina is going to run into difficulties shortly which will gradually quadruple leveling time just by herself.

At this point you can continue leveling them using this guide by EeveeDream and you'll only be slightly slower than an optimal team with the stats listed there for a while. This is the cheapest way to do it.

There are no XP bottles but there are quarterly "bonus XP" events that come up. We just had one so the next won't be for a while.

The general way to speed up leveling is to use a dedicated trainer build dragon to level dragons up 2 at a time. You can see the relevant builds in Maki's Guide.

A team leveling up with the non-Eliminate build takes around 20ish hours, a team with 1 Eliminate (third position, all dragons STR-based) takes around 12-14 hours and a trio with Eliminate take around 7-8 assuming your team targets the physical attackers first and skips all the bosses.

For exalting L20 is not recommended. Experience points needed to get from one level to another go up dramatically with each level. Check out the cheat sheet here by vojir.

L20 requires half the experience needed to get to L25 which is 1,363,652, You're almost always better off exalting at L5-7. No stones, ideally no stats and done by a trainer dragon for speed reasons.

This is a lot of information so feel free to ask more questions if anything's not clear.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?

This was the guide I was looking at. I've been doing 3:1:1 with str health and speed. I'll look at tue guides you mentioned is there a way to respec amrina? I looked at eliminate and cant afford it so I guess its just the slug strat for me? Also glad to hear its better exalt at 7 or 8, was worried mad level for them all.

@bourimly- Took a peek at your lair and I wouldn’t recommend exalting any of your old dragons!! 7 digits (dragons with only 7 digits in their ID) and less are worth quite a bit of cash now, so I’d recommend against giving any away or exalting right now without first appraising their value. If you want to sell some I’d be willing to help you price them but your old dragons are worth much more than exalt payout! Editing to add, these two dragons in your free tab are worth 1000g each at least: And this one is worth at least 500g:

Oh I didn't know that! A lot of mine are 7 digits and I just exalted a bunch of them! Ooops....Is t here a site or tool to help gauge prices or is it just by doing and experiencing. Ty for the foodback, now I wish I didn't exalt so many...><

@bourimly-

Yikes that’s painful, but you can restore one of them via dragon restoration! If you remember their ages and if they were bred or not you can pick the most valuable one by restoring ideally an unbred imperial with desirable colors.

Unfortunately there’s no real way to gauge price other than looking at what other similar dragons are selling for on the auction house, by sorting by the number of ID digits and then cross referencing with other dragons with similar colors. Unbred dragons and doubles do sell for much higher, and imperial dragons much more so! I’d be willing to help if you want to PM me about it, and then if you want to sell you can pick between a flat sale or an auction.

I'm not sure what guide you were looking at since the link went back here but my guess is that it's one of the really old ones before any of the major coli updates or bug fixes.

The item to reset your dragon's stat points is the Tincture of Dissolution.

Before exalting at L8 check out Sylvandyr's Optimal Training Guide. The reason I suggested L5-7 is the treasure per minute gain due to the increased amount of experience needed to get from level to level.

Given the averages you'll only get 78% of the profit if you exalt at L8 vs. L5 and 68% if you exalt at L6 instead (based on paying 7k per adult exalt).

Hope this helps!
