I've heard that if you exalt your progen, you can actually get it back. Is that true? I've been wanting to exalt mine and bring him back when I can focus on fixing his design (because I can't stand to look at him, he's too ugly rn), but I have maybe 4 dragons to customize before him.

Yep. Go to Support under Library at the left, unexalting dragons is under Self Service.
Restoring progenitor dragons is free and can be done once every three days.

I'm not sure, and maybe someone will see this and confirm or refute this, but it's very possible there is a limit on how long a dragon can be exalted before it isn't possible to retrieve it any longer.

For normal, non-progen dragons, the time limit to retrieve it is two weeks.
