TOPIC | Chances of Eliminate Drop
I am trying to get three eliminates so I can make my battle build, but I am not sure which place has a better chance of drop, Training or woods? Any suggestions? I can't afford over a million and a half to buy them from the auctions.

Edit: Also what would be a good way to farm money other than the games? If I did have to buy the Eliminate I wouldn't want to have to wait a month for them. :3

@Steal Eliminate has a drop rate too tiny to really calculate--estimates place it around 25k-35k battles. Since it's basically a lottery ticket kind of chance your best bet is either to level up without it or go to whichever venue you have the highest battle per minute rate in. Time-wise I'd suggest sticking to the Fairgrounds until you have enough funds for 1 Eliminate. 3 is easier but 1 will have a fabulous effect on your current leveling speed. Put it on your third dragon since most monsters will still need a Scratch+Eliminate to go down and that should help. Baldwin is the easiest way to keep earning treasure/gems. Check out Ygdrasill's Profit Guide for more ideas. Also, the coliseum does not reward and evenly statted dragon. Check out these guides for the most efficient stats: Culex EeveeDream EeveeDream has the no-Eliminate build but the stats don't change from Culex's until L20 or so. Stats can be altered using a [item=tincture of dissolution] available in the Battle section of the treasure Marketplace.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
@Steal all we know is that they're a very rare drop (rarer than familiars, which staff have mentioned are at a 1% drop rate and below) and they do NOT drop in Mire and Crystal Pools. some people swear by Sandswept Delta and Arena luckwise, but if you're in the just-starting-out phase, neither of the two more "starter"-y venues are going to be very useful to you. there's always a chance Eliminate will drop there, but odds are you're going to be waiting quite a while.

even just one would help immensely, and make it much easier to get others. if you max Fairgrounds every day for a week, that would give you enough treasure to buy one. if you play Shock Switch and/or Artifracture, depending on your playstyle, it should take you an hour/hour and a half to max the streak. if you have the time available, i honestly recommend doing this over hoping for it to drop.

as for the question of making money in general: since you're new to the Coli (the big moneymaker for most users), Fairgrounds is going to be your best bet. for smaller additions, you can answer Tomo's trivia, sell Baldwin transmutations, trade junk to Crim, and bond with available familiars. once you get a good grasp of the economy here, flipping items and hatchlings is also a valid method of moneymaking. i'll drop guides related to these here, here, and here. there's also the option of doing a creative service such as skin/accent making, drawing, and/or writing and the like.

as a note, i took a look at your lair. i can't tell which ones are a specific Coli team as it looks like most of your adults are in the process of being leveled, but most of them have well-rounded stats. this is not good for the Coliseum and if they stay that way, they're going to struggle. :/ Culex's guide is good if you take Eliminates into account, but if you don't want to buy them/wait for them to drop, you can follow the Sedona build instead. assuming you're the one doing the leveling, i would strongly recommend you stop leveling your lair as a whole and instead just focus on three for now, and then level the others once you have a team capable of doing so quickly. it'll save you a lot of time.

Thanks @After. I realized late that I was messing up, so I switched to a new team.

I moved them to my first three slots if you want to tell me how those three look. Coldshoulder, violetfangs and bloodbath.

Im going to try for one Eliminate but check out this Sedona build. ^_^

Also thanks @Nightwind for the advice as well. I was really messing up my poor dragons wasn't I?

^_^ I think my current three will do a lot better.

@Steal

My first team looked just the same. I didn't even look for guides until I hit the Sandswept Delta and realized I was doing things terribly wrong. Fortunately, Culex came to my rescue and I've been leveling dragons ever since.
