Slowly going through the Discworld series... currently on my second book, which is Mort. Very much enjoying it! Love the descriptions and characterisation of Death. The only problem is that I can't stop reading it, and then I keep buying more books of the series, and my wallet is crying out for help...

Just finished Bittersweet in the Hollow, by Kate Pearsall. Highly recommend it. YA horror-adjacent and paranormal, but really about family and generational trauma. Linden, the protagonist, is amazing. Her whole family are Appalachian folk magic users, and the story takes place in a small town in West Virginia. I did not see the all of the plot twists coming, but the ones I did call weren't exactly as I thought they'd be. The writing is very well-done. It's a standalone novel, as far as I can tell.

noli timere tempestatem. tempestas est res pulchra. ama tempestatem et gaude in pulchritudine.

Just shy of halfway through Faerie Tale, by Raymond E. Feist!
It's an old favorite I somehow lost my copy of, so I treated myself to a pretty hardcover recently and I'm having a great time. ^_^

I finished a really good book for one of my classes!!!!! I think drinking a lot of caffeine heavy tea helped me through it! The book is called Paper Cadavers: The Archives of Dictatorship in Guatemala, I'm going to read something good next.........such as Jay Winter's Sites of Memory, Sites of Mourning.

just finished the terror. i loved it to bits except for the last act haha. it was a slog and felt so separate from the rest of the story i struggled to get through it. not sure what happened there but for the first 650 pages or so it was fantastic. i'm hard to rattle but it sucker punched me a few times. still very excited to watch the show!
but first i'm about to pick up pet sematary just in time for halloween. :)

i just finished reading Words of Radiance about a week ago, and then re-read the first book in the Murderbot series afterwards as a pallet cleanser, and now I've finally driven myself into a slump T^T
