TOPIC | Dragon Village Collection?
I um, feel a little guilty talking about another dragon game on my primary dragon game but...

I found the game a few weeks ago and I've really been enjoying it. Is anyone else playing?

Ultimately it's a beat-by-beat copy of dragon cave but fully animated and on mobile. IE you grab eggs, care for them, and wait for them to grow. They collect views and have different personalities based on how you raise them. It's also got a village area where you can display your dragons and decorate however you please. There's also a square area where people can just vibe using a dragon as an avatar. There are some mini-games and a small (like, tiny) PVP system, among other things. They also plan on adding more soon.

But again, it's very similar to dragon cave in that you usually have to wait a day for an egg to hatch and around 3 for a dragon to fully grow. But it becomes exponential. The more eggs you get, the more hatch, the more you collect, etc. it's just a game that requires a little patience.

The game is available on both IOS and android. The link in my sig should take you to it or a QR code to use if you're not on mobile. Full disclosure, it is a referral link as I am trying to get the referral rewards so if you sign up using it, thank you so very much!

If you are playing or are new to playing, feel free to friend me on there and ask any questions here.

If you're new to playing, here are a few tips -

-Only certain dragons are able to PVP. Karura, Mithra, Taygeta, and Angra's are available to do so and they must be granted the ability to battle by Mithra's beed ability. This took me ages to figure out when I started playing because it's not explained anyhwere lol.

-Walk around and collect your treasure chests every day. There's a very, very rare chance for a pierrot egg to be in one of the chests if you have an empty spot.

-The wanderer shows up with 3 rare eggs at certain set points in the day, but it depends on your time zone. You can check what times he shows up in the help section for him and compare the game's time to your current time to estimate when he'll show up.

-If your dragon is in an incubator, it won't/can't die even if you're not playing. But the happier it is, the faster it grows. Views don't have an effect on growth (but they do effect certain personality types) only care does. The higher your care bar (without making your dragon sick) the better.

-Do the quests around the village area, including the blue and green ! quests. Certain rare dragons come from those quests.

-Do your dispatches every day once you have a grown dragon. Certain items from those dispatches are very valuable for getting rare dragons as well.

-You can fill out your dragon book just by viewing other people's dragons. So if you look in the incubator, or walk around the square checking out other people's dragons, you will get credit towards your book and eventually fill it once you have enough views of that species.

Anyway, hope to see some of yall there maybe!

If you are interested in playing, here's a really helpful wiki @Jinoga made!

Haven't heard of it, but I will try it out for sure! Is the dragon and egg from that game? They kind of remind me of dragon city, art-style wise

@Gelo

You got it! The dragons come from the dragon village mobile game that's been out for a while. Kinda gacha, auto game that I played for a while but didn't really get into. But when I found DVC I was like "oh no this is hitting all my favorite pleasure centers in my brain" because the art is so cute and there's stuff to do that isn't just like, fighting and idle gameplay. It felt a little slow at first when I only had 4 eggs I was waiting to hatch, but once I hatched those and got 4 more eggs, it picked up.

Then I started digging into how to get certain personalities and it really opened up. Plus I like that I can play as much or as little as I want. Like if I leave my phone set down for 12 hours or something, I know my little dudes are going to be alive and possibly grown by themselves when I get back.

edit: Dang typos, I need to learn to slow down when I type.

That does sound interesting, but first I gotta know some things.

How much F2P is it? And how annoying is it with popups/interface-stuff for paid content and ads?

And also does it drain the battery a lot? What about mobile data?

Oh lord yes, the translations are really bad lol. It's a Korean game and they're trying their best but some of the things the dragons say make me go "aaand yep someone didn't translate this well lol." And yes they are always taking feedback suggestions about the translations.

@Xionahri

The only cash purchases associated with the game are a monthly membership that provides you with the option to have your dragon grow to its next stage a few hours earlier, and removes ads. You can watch ads to do things like care for a dragon twice in a row, or get 3 extra weekly dispatches.

There is also a monthly dragon that's available in the cash shop for I think like, slightly less than $5 a month. However, the cash shop dragons are breedable and while the offspring they produce isn't *as* fancy as the shop ones, it does still count to fill up your dragon book for that specific species.

So really the only things to spend on are the membership if you want the slightly faster growth option (which some people don't even use because certain personalities require as much time as possible in each growth stage) and no ads for care refreshes. And the monthly dragon, which if you're not interested in buying you can find someone to breed the more generic version for you to occupy your dragon book.

As for battery, my phone is usually fine. Maybe 2-5% per hour? As far as mobile data, I apologize but I'm not sure, I only ever use wifi when I'm here at home doing stuff.

@Amalythia

Thanks for the detailed response! That actually sounds good. I'll try it.

The mobile data thing I can actually "safely" test myself, since my data resets at the seventh of each much and that's not too long away. Also, I got books and audiobooks downloaded for work, so I don't actually have to have any data right now.

I actually got this game about a week ago because of the banner in your profile! :D

It's actually quite fun if you're busy during the day and can only play a game for a little bit at a time every so often. Since things take literal hours to progress in the background, I usually check at lunch and between my classes!

xx a bouncing sprite of a 3-headed emperor dragon. they are white and black with cyan-blue mane and cyan-blue glowing eyes. they also have a cyan-colored aura around them. x a clear bottle is decorated with a black falcon feather and a red plague flight charm tied to its cork. inside the bottle are a scrap of red fabric, a chunk of black obsidian, and a floating skull. xx a small pixel art of my dragon, Acalan. he's a dark red imperial adorned with fancy silks and copper-toned jewelry. art is by everlastingecho!
@Xionahri

Awesome! If you test and share your results here, I'm sure it would be helpful for some folks.

@SpiritOfArcadia

That's awesome! And yes I agree. I usually check in 3 times a day, but if I want to play longer I'll stick around to inspect dragons in the square or decorate my village. They just added in text boxes for the dragons, so they speak as they're walking around the village as well which I think is really fun, lol. It's fun to watch them mingle sometimes if I have downtime and have it on in the background while watching streams and stuff.

I've been trying to use the link in your signature to send you a friend request, but it's not working. Nothing shows up when I type 'Esaara' in the search bar either. Is this because we might be on different region servers?

And speaking of diffrent parts of the world, first thing I did after the tutorial was to switch the Language to English. German is very google translate.

Anyway, got a mushroom egg, a spicy egg, a volcano egg and a baal egg. Let's see how they'll do in my care.
