I have hyperacute hearing - basically, my hearing is incredibly good. My audiologist said he's never seen anything like it, and during my hearing test I received twice the normal score on most frequencies. It sounds impressive, but also it really sucks because even slightly loud noises are straight-up painful and I have been kept awake by my own heartbeat on more than one occasion.
