[img]http://kahuzibieganationalparkcongo.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/mount-kahuzi-climbing-mouse.jpg[/img] The Mount Kahuzi climbing mouse ([i]Dendromus kahuziensis[/i]) is a critically endangered species of tree mouse. Known only from two specimens found near the dormant volcano Mount Kahuzi, this mouse inhabits tropical forests, and uses its semi-prehensile tail to grip tree branches. Like other members of its genus, it has three toes on each foot. Its forest home is threatened by fires and illegal logging.

I sometimes wish humans would go extinct themselves, until you realize it wouldn't matter. Hell, We may have been created by the Earth for exactly this, since We are literally an extinction even in'n of ourselves. We're like the meteor

It is a softshell turtle, a variety named for their leathery, flexible shells. Sadly, its habitat is located in counties that frequently experience political unrest, which is a cause of habitat loss and degradation. This species had not been seen for over a decade when, in 2018, Nigerian-Italian ecologist Luca Luiselli discovered a remnant population in the White Nile wetlands.

This species bears a bright orange belly that warns predators that its poisonous. It inhabits cool, stagnant bodies of water, often man-made like rice paddies. It is threatened by introduced tilapia, habitat loss and fragmentation, and the construction of ditches, into which it falls and overheats.

Though domesticated as working and meat animals, they also live wild and have been introduced to Northern Australia. It lives in herds of females and one adult bull, and feeds on plants like bamboo. Threats include hybridization, hunting, disease, and hybridization with domestic cattle. This species is the second successfully cloned endangered species, and the first to survive over a week. The clone survived for seven years and lived at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park until its death in April 2010.
