I guess I'm bi-curious? I thought I was heterosexual for my whole life but then I had a crush on a girl so now I'm just really confused :/

i came out to my parents on the 4th of july a couple of years ago. we were at a party at my neighbor's house and the fireworks get shot off in the field behind our houses, so we can just stand in our yards and watch them. after the fireworks my dad went home (he's no fun at parties) and my mom stayed drinking at the party until like 2am. i stayed with her to make sure she got home okay and when we did finally go back home i just said "f it" and wrote a note saying "I'm a lesbian." and left it on the counter in front of the coffee pot.
my dad found it first, showed my mom, and for a few days they didn't say anything about it. i know they're not homophobic, but i was afraid that maybe they were only okay with lgbtq+ people as long as they're not related to them. but then after three days i was sitting in my room and my dad came in and said "can i talk to you like an adult for a minute?" then sat down on my bad and said, word for word, "i don't give a f*** if you're gay. you're my daughter. we love you no matter what" and then continued going on a profanity-filled rant about how supportive he was and how the next time one of his coworkers made a gay joke he was gonna punch them lol
mom was just as supportive of course. nowadays i make gay jokes all the time (ie.; mom: "does this picture look straight" me: "i don't know i'm gay") and my mom will jokingly say "oh my god you're so gay" to me. everything's good. i'm very blessed having them as my parents.

I came out of the closet a couple years ago to my family and last Christmas I came out to my dad. He still to this day thinks I'm straght. Heck, he could be correct for all I know.

@ChiefBeef hahaha dude my parents don’t believe I’m gay.

On one hand, they should be more open to your sexuality, on the other hand sometimes parents know us better than we do. That's why I'm still thinking about my sexuality.
