Hi @Jellybelly
Here are some comments for you. :)
  • Just a small point - I usually use my ******* when linking even outside my sig or profile. Tinyurls are easier for people to remember, and there is less chance of accidentally breaking the link. When I clicked on the link you gave me, it was broken.
    -
  • Nice banners and separator images - your introductory section is a little long, mostly due to the inclusion of what I would classify as a rule ("Not taking reserves") and putting each sentence on its own line. I think if you moved the rule out to the proper section you would be alright.
    -
  • Rather than striking out "Back to Top" in your first quick links block, I would just remove it from that block. I think the striking out works in all the other quick links blocks further down (though I might just keep it plain text).
    -
  • When I am not selling hatchlings I prefer to keep their code out of the hatchery. I usually store it in a notepad .txt file. =)
    -
  • I am not sure the nest picture is necessary, especially if you happen to have an instance where you have more hatchlings than the max of 5 that can be displayed there. But it is an interesting idea. I might be more sold on the nest if you removed the code underneath it.
    -
  • You say you are not currently taking reserves at the top, but then you have a whole section devoted to reserves...hmm... As with the hatchling codes, I would take the code for this section out and preserve it in a notepad file. Move the sections below it up one post and just mark your last unused post as waiting for content.

  • I usually don't display pairs in UPCOMING until their genes and breed changing are completely finished, because it has always been frustrating to me as a customer to go into someone's hatchery and be unable to accurately visualize their stock. I have never felt an impulse to sign up for an unfinished pair - if you had a triple white or triple obsidian pairing or something very specific like that, it might be different, but if you are only planning to breed them after their genes and breeds have been changed I would not display them till you have accomplished that.
    -
  • Same with the STUDDING section as with the FOR SALE section - remove and store the bits of code you aren't using. Consider methods of decreasing the vertical image size of your studding pictures, ex. putting similarly colored males and females together in one image.

Overall it is definitely a very clean presentation. Nice job. :D

edit: Just noticed your question about naming. I think GoT is a reasonable basis- the main thing is you want something that can be shrunk down so it does not occupy too much space in your title. Perhaps instead of trying to name it after the whole series, pick out one specific element from the show books that you like. A weapon, a House, a place, etc. Something short. :) This way it does not bewilder people who are unfamiliar, but people who are in the know can appreciate the reference especially when they get to your UPCOMING section.

@Pandatao
For the Scroll of Maturity Trick, you can get the preview image by either right-clicking the preview and choosing save-as, or dragging it to your desktop. Use whichever method gets you the full 350x350 image. :) Obviously do not confirm the Scroll of Maturity after or you will lose it!

@Pandatao What exactly did you do? I have not run into this problem myself, but there may be others with the issue so any tips would be helpful.

Btw, black backgrounds occur when you copy and paste the image into a paint program rather than saving it and then opening it. :)

Hello! Excellent guide - I've attributed a few things from it to my own hatchery. c: My hatchery hasn't really got off the ground, though... would you mind looking at it and giving suggestions? :x Here's the link.
