Hi everyone!

The stats for the new NotN enemies are now in the tool. We got 14 new NotN enemies this year.

I haven't checked their AIs yet but it should be reasonably easy since they're all Neutral. Got 'em!

Thanks, and happy NotN hunting!

I'm also super glad that new overly-tanky enemies weren't added!

One unrelated update:

In the past, when Bamboo Falls was changed to a level 13-only venue, some the enemies still maintained higher levels for a while. However, it looks like there may have been an update that finally pushed the enemies down to a standard level.

The lowering of some of the levels in the Bamboo Falls (from 14 to 13) means that some of the enemies will be less tanky than before. Not as relevant unless you're bringing level-appropriate dragons in there, but still a change.

I'll update the tool to reflect this.

You guys and gals are a blessing. Thank you for all of your Coli work!
You guys and gals are a blessing. Thank you for all of your Coli work!
I brushed up the formatting on my turn order comparison post a bit.

I have also added GLR Anticipate build tests to the post. Based on my tests, I find that a 115 STR, 59 QCK build suits my needs for consistency and efficiency. Stay tuned for speed tests in a few weeks. (On the topic of speed tests... I'm hoping to finally fill in some times for a Mire Meditate build as well.)

* Please note that KO turns for Anticipate builds are at the mercy of RNG; if the trainer does not get hit enough times, the KO time will be delayed. The listed KO turns are for the scenario where the trainer gets hit at least 2x within the first 2 Anticipates. (Uncommonly good luck, with the trainer being hit at least 2x on the first Anticipate, or uncommonly bad luck, where your party dodges so much that Anticipate didn't generate breath where it normally would, were not used as the benchmark for the typical turn order comparisons.) Note that dodging an attack causes Anticipate breath to fail to be awarded; while dodges help to avoid damage, they hurt when trying to build Anticipate breath.

GLR 53-59 QCK Anticipate (115 STR / 53-59 QCK)
Bolster, Rally, Anticipate x2, Eliminate x3

Turn order sheet
Speed test sheet (work in progress)

3x 40 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 15 (starting 53 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 54 QCK)
3x 41 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 15 (starting 53 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 55 QCK)
3x 42 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 15 (starting 53 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 56 QCK)
3x 43 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 16; 11, 14, 15 (starting 54 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 58 QCK)
3x 44 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 16; 11, 14, 15 (starting 55 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 59 QCK)
3x 48 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 16
3x 50 QCK: Aer Phantom and Lux Spectre only, therefore irrelevant. Don't start on triple caster packs with Anticipate trainers.

Adding QCK for special packs
  • At 54 QCK, the triple 40 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 12, and 14 instead of 11, 14, and 15. This both saves an overall turn (finish in 14 instead of 15 rounds) and prevents a significant amount of additional damage taken (by KOing the second 40 QCK enemy in turn 12 instead of 14). Additionally, the triple 43 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 14, and 15 instead of 11, 14, and 16.
  • At 55 QCK, the triple 41 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 12, and 14 instead of 11, 14, and 15. This both saves an overall turn (finish in 14 instead of 15 rounds) and prevents a significant amount of additional damage taken (by KOing the second 41 QCK enemy in turn 12 instead of 14). Additionally, the triple 44 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 14, and 15 instead of 11, 14, and 16.
  • At 56 QCK, the triple 42 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 12, and 14 instead of 11, 14, and 15. This both saves an overall turn (finish in 14 instead of 15 rounds) and prevents a significant amount of additional damage taken (by KOing the second 42 QCK enemy in turn 12 instead of 14).
  • At 58 QCK, the triple 43 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 12, and 14 instead of 11, 14, and 15. This both saves an overall turn (finish in 14 instead of 15 rounds) and prevents a significant amount of additional damage taken (by KOing the second 43 QCK enemy in turn 12 instead of 14).
  • At 59 QCK, the triple 44 QCK packs can be KOed on turns 11, 12, and 14 instead of 11, 14, and 15. This both saves an overall turn (finish in 14 instead of 15 rounds) and prevents a significant amount of additional damage taken (by KOing the second 44 QCK enemy in turn 12 instead of 14).

For the 53-59 QCK range, I personally prefer the 59 QCK variant for the most consistent experience.

GLR 60-73 QCK Anticipate (115 STR / 60-73 QCK)
Bolster, Rally, Anticipate x2, Eliminate x3
OR
Bolster, Rally, Anticipate, Rally, Anticipate, Eliminate x3 (if suffering turn order disruptions from higher QCK)

Turn order sheet

High QCK (60+) for Anticipate in 2.0 is not advised. Starting 60 QCK, some of the packs will experience disruptions in turn order, causing a premature extra turn after the second Anticipate would normally have been used. This means that a turn where the trainer has enough breath for Eliminate can be lost unless luck allowed the trainer to be hit 2x within Anticipate before the disruptive early turn occurs.

Sadly, this QCK tier is a mixed bag. Higher QCK is needed to have a slightly better turn order for some of the faster QCK enemies (e.g. Shatterbone Vulture and Tatterwing Carcass), but that same QCK amount would sabotage battles against the lower QCK enemies (e.g. Pronghorn Stomper, Pronghorn Hunter, Nightmare, Carrioncorn, Infestation Hound, Wraith Hound, Tengu Caller). Sacrifices in efficiency are made in either case, which means this tier is suboptimal for Anticipate builds. In contrast, no sacrifices in this QCK tier would be made for Meditate or Scratch builds; those builds only experience improvements in this tier.

For example, unless RNG strongly favors you when you're Anticipating for breath, the effective KO turns for a 3x 40 QCK mob would be 12, 15, and 16 for a build using 60-66 QCK, or 12, 13, and 15 with 67-73 QCK. Although the initial turns may seem different, the KO turns are what matters, and 54-59 QCK performs better for the 3x 40 QCK packs (KO turns are at 11, 12, and 14). (The QCK thresholds are different for the different QCK combinations, but the concept is the same. See the list below for a full comparison.)

3x 40 QCK: KO turns* 11, 12, 14 (starting 54 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 60 QCK; worse than 54-59 QCK); 12, 13, 15 (starting 67 QCK; worse than 54-59 QCK; better than 60-66 QCK)
3x 41 QCK: KO turns* 11, 12, 14 (starting 55 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 62 QCK; worse than 55-61 QCK); 12, 13, 15 (starting 69 QCK; worse than 55-61 QCK; better than 62-68 QCK)
3x 42 QCK: KO turns* 11, 12, 14 (starting 56 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 63 QCK; worse than 56-62 QCK); 12, 13, 15 (starting 70 QCK; worse than 56-62 QCK; better than 63-69 QCK)
3x 43 QCK: KO turns* 11, 12, 14 (starting 58 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 65 QCK; worse than 58-64 QCK); 12, 13, 15 (starting 72 QCK; worse than 58-64 QCK; better than 65-71 QCK)
3x 44 QCK: KO turns* 11, 12, 14 (starting 59 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 66 QCK; worse than 59-65 QCK); 12, 13, 15 (starting 73 QCK; worse than 59-65 QCK; better than 66-72 QCK)
3x 48 QCK: KO turns* 11, 14, 15 (starting 60 QCK); 11, 12, 14 (starting 64 QCK); 12, 15, 16 (starting 72 QCK; worse than 64-71 QCK)
3x 50 QCK: Aer Phantom and Lux Spectre only, therefore irrelevant. Don't start on triple caster packs with Anticipate trainers.

I wouldn't use the 60+ QCK range for an Anticipate build in GLR. The turn orders that I have listed should highlight the problems. GLR Anticipate is more efficient when using the lower QCK range (53-59) in the section above this one.

Hi everyone, the new Sandswept Delta enemies are in the tool! Looks like no one tankier than the Greatshell, so it should still be easy to two-Scratch / one Elim stuff with farmers.

No bosses; maybe they don't plan to put bosses in level 10 and below? Also, although the zone wasn't split out level-wise yet, the new enemies are all level 10.
