The main belief of my clan/Cult is that those with Primal Eyes are divine heralds sent by the Eleven to guide the rest of dragon kind. Though not many actually believe this and the hierarchy is more or less a suggestion. The non-believers are right of course, as having Primal Eyes isn't actually an indicator of being chosen by the divine...

Except the Primals in the Cult are actually divine in nature, just not for the reasons the fanatics believe in.

All of my Everlux dragons' names are full sentences, taken from the book they hatched in and shortened to a few words for everyday use. If I Were Blind, their matriarch, brought her two consorts to my clan after a divine missive told her to take over the clan's tiny archive and expand it into a great repository of information, positioning herself as their new Mother of Knowledge. The clan already had a historian and a librarian who didn't appreciate this, but they've gotten used to her and accepted that she's making their jobs easier and more satisfying. What they haven't accepted is her insistence that, since they belong to the archive and the archive belongs to her, they are now also her consorts. It's an ongoing discussion.

I think my favorite so far is the Dragon OSHA Representative who found himself assigned to a dark fantasy/eldritch survival horror themed lair. The safety manual did not cover the horrors, folks. He vacillates between internal screaming and external screaming, depending on the day.

I don't actually have most of my lore written down, but I do have a former nature exalt who is currently amassing the world's largest salad hoard to try to goad the Gladekeeper into meeting her in single combat.

Don't ask her why she thinks any part of this plan is going to work, she would just bite you

My progen collects dangerous and sometimes down right insane dragons as clan members to guard her family if anything tres to hurt them
How does she keep these criminals under control? Easy she has them bind their magic/essence to her thru the contact so if they step out of line its sun down for them.
The magic she gains from binding so many dragons is to help her regain her status as a sprit/ demigod which was stripped from her by the gods for causing too much damage

SOMETHING TO ADD TO MY ORIGINAL POST

Wayward (Clan Leader) Was literally thrown across the plague-shadow boarder as an egg and accidentally hatched right at the midpoint. her parents are from the plague and shadow flights, and even as an adult argue over which flight she would technically and legally belong too (magic wise shadow, but legally plague)

It's not particularly insane, but all my dragons are named after random things that make me happy. They all have two part names like Fairy Lights or Glittering Lakes.

one off my in-clan born primals, Aphotic, wants to start a circus to rob everyone while his group perform and afterwords ditch the clan. and that is by far the tamest part off my lore.

three young adults find bones, and before checking that its a grave site, two off them chuck it in a cauldron and rebirth an ancient dead imperial into a being off slime.

there is a dragon that bears the name Lawnmower. he is by far the most serious dragon in the clan

cross-lore with a friend means i have a demi-god that just wants to be a good baby sitter. shes made of glass and stardust and bones and eyes.

a dragon was so physically strong and committed so many crimes he was turned into an eternal hatchling so they could imprison him easier

there is a nocturne that is convinced she's actually marine life.

oh, and the leader of the clan is dying of gembond

Maybe not the most insane lore here, but I think certain bits and pieces of my lore qualify just enough for this.

1. -So first off, super ancient village in the barren desert of the Shifting Expanse. Very tight-knit community, but everyone is super sus of the village leader. They didn't do anything wrong, they just have supernatural foresight and abilities that have run through their bloodline for centuries. Everyone tolerates this despite not fully understanding anything about them, I mean.. They have no choice, this is their leader that comes from a long line of leaders, so why bother right?

2. - There are two sentient robot dragons that ran away from the nearby factory and are CONVINCED they've got everyone in the village fooled into thinking they're organic dragons. Absolutely 0 dragons are fooled, they just let the two stay because they were deemed "not dangerous" by the leader.

3. - There are sentient robot dragons going rogue worldwide because the company that aforementiond factory belongs to only recently started caring that their products suck, but by the time they started caring there were like 100 robots shipped across Sornieth. Whoops!!

4. - They aren't actually sentient. Just being given a.. more or less """temporary""" consciousness by strong arcane magic that they were enchanted with by a factory employee. Their reason for enchanting the robots and causing worldwide panic? They hate the CEO's guts.
