This has been happening for gathering for quite awhile now. It was added about the time they changed fests from starting at rollover to starting at 06:00. To help people save their gathering turns. The problem is, this happened before event currency was added to all dailies, so there aren't any warning for anything else. Which is why people post PSAs to try and save people from doing their dailies too early.

3pm in mine, I'm crawling up the walls (my typical FR routine has gathering as the first daily task I do here ._.)
