I feel like staff confirmed they're based on goblin sharks at one point, but I personally DO really like this line of thought. It would be an incredibly neat detail, like it's a fun coincidence and I enjoy the idea of basing aspects of a dragons design after things like this.

alright, alright, another question:

what if ridgebacks had different shaped heads depending on what cloud formation they represent? i imagine a cumulus based ridgeback would have a rather round head compared to the pointy thunder cloud. fun observation!
