Yup, the theft and subsequent actions are the reason the TOS was changed to make it very clear that the Devs would not intervene in cases of lent items not being ret'd! To have been a fly on the wall...

Oh my gosh the boolean theft was one of my favorite things to find out! So this person was decided to lend out their boolean to people so they could bond with it once for the bestiary, so very quick turnaround. Literally the FIFTH PERSON borrowed it and then suddenly disappeared. No one ever logged into it again. Also they were an account that had been made like 20 minutes earlier, didn't even have an avatar, and the request was their first forum post. So the boolean got transferred to the thief's account and then sold several times by the time the Devs got involved. The end result was the boolean was removed from the lair it was currently in and ret'd, the Devs said they didn't think it had to be said but transactions of that kind are not supported on the website and never do that again because they will not help again, the thief was banned, and the person who the item was taken from went whining up and down the forum and making themself sound greedy and callous.
