I wasn't paying attention to the dragons that I was buying as fodder today which led to me accidentally grabbing two very pretty boys. I can't bring myself to exalt them. This is why I never have lair space.

she's still with me, I even named her with my fodder naming scheme from that dom push, descpritive term-drop. Like Leafdrop, Dewdrop, Ragedrop, Sundrop etc. I named her, got ready to level her, looked at her, fell in love and the rest is history

Not so much an accidental fodder fail as she was an intentional rescue, but this girl would totally have been exalted if I hadn't bought her 5 years ago. She was all basic back then, with tons of unnamed kids, and a Snapper to boot. I fell in love with the big lump, and to this day she's my only (but very much adored) perma Snapper. She's the clan's hatchling-sitter! In lore, she feels very intensely protective of all hatchlings because it helps her not think of how she (a Snapper with normally impeccable long-term memory) forgot the names of so many of her own children in the sands of the Shattered Plain.

This is why I've become largely a semi-strict G1 lair. I see a pretty dragon, I want a pretty dragon. It doesn't matter if they're a heavily bred G25 dragon or an unbred G1. In most cases, forcing myself to only G1 dragons (or G2 Imps, or G2+ strictly for breeding a rare color combination) helps prevent me from completely overrunning my lair, as I have to consider if the dragon is worth the time and effort to make them fit my vision.

I bought him as a hatchling for the purpose of leveling and exalting but I kind of got attached to him.
Not many people like Scales, especially when it’s on ‘fluffier’ breeds such as Tundras and Obelisks. Especially not when it clashes with the rest of the design.
Not many people like vibrant Metallic/Alloy.
As if it could be objectively worse, the eyes don’t match, either.
