I like them better on abers than I do on modern breeds, but there's definitely a place for them, especially Freckle! I find Speckle a little hard to work with though.

I find most of the time that other genes fit my dragons more than Spec/Frec, but when it hits, it REALLY hits. There's a few combinations that are fantastic.

I think it's easy for people to write off the genes that are harder to use, but as we get more and more options, I don't think every gene has to work with everything else. It's really satisfying to come up with a design that wouldn't look nearly as beautiful with any other gene combo [emoji=coatl happy size=1]

I looove spec/frec, especially with deep reds since it looks like crushed velvet! Plague themed draggos wear it well I think:

Green also works super well with nature dergs, reminds me of a canopy of leaves ^^
