That's it, that's the objective spirit I like to see! Just like Swampman said, they have value if they're valuable to you. No dragon has any inherent value as quality is subjective and it's your play experience. Do whatever you'd like with your progens! I kept mine and scattered them and now I love them, but that's because I love G1s. You can do whatever you want

I like mine! its entirely personal though, like others say, I find quite a lot of sentimental value in mine. I love them being the dragons that started my clan. Ive seen a lot of people regret exalting them, but now that you can always get them back, do what you want!

I carefully chose the primary and secondary of my custom progen... and then she came out with a bubblegum tertiary. >_______< otoh my random progen came out silver/seafoam/silver, which looks pretty awesome. I exalted my custom progen when I moved from Wind to Lightning, but I ended up getting her back soon after restores became available. which reminds me that I need to scry up some better genes for my random progen... and see if I can find a decent tertiary gene, or maybe invest in a scatterscroll for the custom. :P

I keep mine for sentimental value, mostly! I did breed them for fodder but I'm trying to keep them in the Hibden for right now. Going through a "completion" wave on my dragons, which basically means giving everyone a completely formated bio, giving everyone just a little bit of lore so I can go back and complete it at a later date, and giving everyone apparel/skin outfits with scrying plans. It's an ongoing project. I throw everyone I'm done with into the Hibden XDDD

i used to have mine, kept them around for a good while after i stopped breeding 'em but eventually i just got tired of them. didn't have fantastic colors, there were plenty of other projects i wanted to complete more than i wanted to spend money on my progens, so i booted 'em to Bossdad. they're still hanging out there. only thing i kinda sorta regret is getting them fully statted+stoned since that could've been some Money™ before the Mire fix but eh, i've lost money on other dergs too, so.
I say this as someone who's never scattered or exalted my progens, and instead invested a lot of treasure and gems into getting them gened up - your progens only have the value you ascribe to them.
They can't be sold, traded, or gifted, and while they can be exalted, they don't count towards your Flight's Dominance no matter their level, and they don't give you any treasure or gems for being exalted. If you like your progens, this probably won't be an issue, but if you find the colors your chose for your custom no longer appeal to you or your random came with colors that you loathe, your only recourse is to either scatter them or exalt them.
Don't let anyone make you feel bad for exalting your progens. A lot of people ended up doing so, and many of them never bothered to restore them. At the end of the day, it's your account and they're your dragons. Do with them whatever makes you happy (provided you're not hurting anyone, of course).

Depends- I got rid of mine. I guess gen1 hoarders would keep them or people who are sentimental with theirs, but mine just didn't do it for me. Even though my random matches really well, they just...weren't worth the time and effort for me.

I gened and dressed my progens and they sit at the front of my lair now, but mine had pretty decent colors (though they look like water dragons even though I'm in arcane [emoji=wildclaw deadpan size=1]) Honestly it's just sentimental I guess, I like having my first two dergs gened and pretty in my lair but that's personal. No point in keeping them if you don't like em.

Seriously though, if you've been active right away or just started playing without having any knowledge of the site, chances are that your progens are your biggest reminders of your first mistakes and things you just don't want to do with your dragons.
My custom progen got so lucky with his tert, it's truly an amazing thing. My random progen got some nice blue colors but I hate it and it certainely doesn't fit in any way. I'll have to scatter her, I might even do it a lot until I reach like a light pink color.
Another thing though, my progens start with #314 so I like to think of them as my pie clan. Like those are the numbers that belong to my account in a sense. You'll likely get a bunch of younger and older dragons, but I like dragons that represent the time I made my account too.
But yeah they have no value since they are tied to your account. They're more likely to be baggage, but everyone created their first dragon and got a random one to breed with it and you shouldn't get rid off that history of your account imo.
