Okay this was way too hard to narrow down because there's so many familiars and I love so many of them. The long flowing manes on the other centaurs are beautiful of course, but I love that both her hair AND tail are cropped short. I think the darker accent colours on the ears, paws, and tail tips look beautiful; the overall pose and anatomy just looks very playful and endearing, and there's a fun disparity between that and the slightly unsettling kitsune's mask. I love them so much and they very nearly got a spot on the top 10 but I just think the Transmuted Treasure has an overall better design. The clawed hand holding a gem with the little *shing* really sells it for me, what can I say? As an aside, I really appreciate that the smoke/mist/fog in FR has such consistent rendering. The Primrose is my favourite design of all Miths, because it combines all the darling fluffy moth-y goodness of the other Miths, with flowers and a cute purse. And pink. I love pink. The anatomy details are really sweet too- you never really think to look that closely, but eventually you spot the floofy tails and the odd clawed fingers and toes. I’m quite fond of the cups. [item=Vigorous Goblet][item=Dancing Chalice][item=Cracked Crystal] I love all the animated object critters, but the cups are probably some of my favorites. [item=ultimate buttersnake] is pretty rad too, especially the concept of being technically animated. [item=cockatrice] [item=fuiran] [item= Algae-bottom slarg] [item=nightmare] are all awesome. There’s quite a few familiars I really like the design of actually.

I've always been terribly fond of these guys [item=jeweled octoflyer] [item=octoflyer] [item=parda] [item=king parda] The octoflyers' thumbnails have always made me think of the \o/ emoticon, and I love the little butt wiggle the pardas do in coli. Honorable mentions: Celestial Antelope/Silver Springbok, Fangars, the Marva bunnies, Perytons, Slargs, Loaches, Kelpies, Chipskinks... uh. Maybe I should just say "all of them"? I love so many of the designs!

The Featherbacks have been my favourite for a long time. Just thinking about this omnivorous but mainly carnivorous boar-dog hybrid with sharp teeth, a cute snoot and adorable chonky arms is my weakness. They're just really cute to me. [item=Featherback Boar][item=Undying Featherback] But these lads just perfectly show how incredible the anatomy of Sornieth's creatures is, I love how we're getting more and more creatures who just have 4 arms and 2 legs and they just use them for walkin.
