Is it just me, or does Metallic/Allow look.... off on Banescales?
Like... for example, when banes first came out, I was really excited. Grapefruit metallic is one of my fav color/gene combos! I mean... look at it!

And then I got to Banescales, and....
hm.

It looks almost like... just... basic, but with more dramatic lighting. And it's not just grapefruit, either! Red, Mint, and Ice, to name a few.

Some of them look alright, but some are drastically different. And- goodness, I hate to say it almost looks lazy because GOSH Banescales are now one of my favorite breeds, and I love the staff and how much work they'd put in, but... it doesn't look. Great. Or consistent, like all the other genes. What's up with that? I'm not the only one who thinks this, right?

Most of the coloration on Banescales is different due to the material of the scale plates I believe!
You can see the bellies of the banescales is mostly similar to the modern breeds, while their bulkier scales lack the polish and range of colors on the bodies.

@LostVices true, but when has that stopped FR before? I'm sure the feathers of sky dancers, hides of snappers, and skin of wildclaws are all wildly different, and yet are colored the same on-site. And even if it is the material of the scales- what about the wings? Compare banes vs the very similar ridgebacks.
Its WILDLY different, with little to no gradient shaidng. Just.. dramatic cell shading.

Huh. weird. It looks like someone put a glow layer over top of the whole dragon and forgot to turn the opacity down, causing the highlights seen on the other dragons to disappear. Wacky

I admit it's pretty weird that the wing isn't shaded similarly (and a little bit disappointing).
You can see very faint traces of it on the ice colored banescale, but it looks like just a flat color on the grapefruit dragons, which is a real shame. Grapefruit has one of the best met/all colorations tbh

Yeah, I've noticed other colors are different, too. Clay has lost its slight purple tint. Wine and mauve are redder. And these are just the ones I like and know the looks of offhand. It's a little disappointing. I'm sure I'll find other ones to like, but I'll miss my some of my favorites.

Yeah, it's very desaturated and looks more like iri/shim instead of metallic/alloy for some reason...

Yeah, I noticed that too and I'm a little disappointed. If they change it to match the modern breeds better I'd be so happy

Huh... I knew something was off, but just couldn't quite figure out what. Now it makes sense!

They really need to fix the horns/spines. Looks so off....
