Yeah, I'd want it untouched in case I come back someday.
They would go into the den to hibernate and wait my return. I've gone through two hiatuses, both after surgery, and currently am expect to be semi-hiatus around December to January when work gets hectic and days off become few.

Everything stays exactly as it is. I always go on hiatus, and - so far - I've always come back. Also, if I've hit the point where I'm leaving the site, it means I'm at the point where I'm just, tired and burnt out on all things FR. I'm not gonna care enough to put the effort into sorting out my lair or my hoard. That's future me's problem.

as someone who's entered a million impromptu periods of inactivity, i'd def want all my stuff to remain as is
