I know i am still a baby and i havent been in this game for very long, but im already not really feeling attached to my progenitors. I have bought a few baby dragons from the auction house and they have some genes that I would definitely like to breed and see all the cool variations and stuff. My progenitors seem to just be... taking up space? Maybe I'll try to hold onto them until their eggs hatch but after that i may just try to sell them or trade them. Im still pretty new so sorry if this is a stupid question.

@muttiepup You can't sell them.
If you don't want them anymore you can exalt them and if you change your mind later you can restore them at any point every 3 days.

Your progens can't leave your lair but if you really don't want them you could exalt them. There's an option to restore them in the support settings if you ever end up regretting it.
You can't sell or trade your progenitors. Any way you can send dragons to another user is unavailable for progenitors. You either exalt them or keep them. You can bring them back later if you want.
@BananicornKate You can permanently exalt them.
@FearfulTrickster They're not your dragons. Mutt can do what they want with them. Plus, Mutt can bring them back anytime. If they want.

Welcome to the site!
Progenitor dragons can't be sold, unfortunately. They're bound to your account. The only way you can "get rid of them" is by exalting, but please please PLEASE do not exalt them.

What the others have said! Note that if you do exalt them, you will not get any treasure for it. (You will get treasure if you exalt other dragons, depending on their level.)
@eefles I'm not very used to the new self-support system. When I exalted mine forever ago, I had to get them back through an email program. I wasn't aware it was as easy as it is to get them back.
Sorry.

If you don't really want to look at them, or wouldn't like to exalt them, you can put them in your hibernal den if you aren't using it for something else. :)

have you tried seeing what your progens look like with genes or as a different breed in Predict Morphology?
Also Ancient Breeds are coming out in 2 days which will most likely come with the ability to buy/get a scroll to change your progens into said ancients if you like how they look.
If you still don't like how they are after checking with the Predict morphology, then feel free to exalt them to free up lair space. you can always bring them back later with the self-service dragon restoration later if you change your mind.
Edit: your custom progen has some pretty cool potential.
