Thank you to whoever brought this thread to light again, I love it.

I feel so attacked for how accurate these are...

My clan is the dimension hopping beacon of progressive thought with adapted fandergs and robot dergs to end all dimension hopping beacons of progressive thought with adapted fandergs and robot dergs

I am guilty of many of these, there needs to be a bingo sheet! Though I will say mine is a bit high because I have the "travelling caravan" trope with a bunch of random dragons.

Here's what I got:
-That one dragon whose totally not insane.
-The flight representatives.
- antlers on anything nature (god) related. like what, we got a whole squad of junior Cernunnoses over here or somethin
- flowerfalls freakin everywhere
- NAME:
* Adjective ~ Adjective ~ Adjective *
-"I'll put something here eventually lol"
-Clan record keeper/archivist/librarian/whatever/ect who is most likely a placeholder for wishlists and business records
-".... Until they came to this clan who were unusually accepting and they stayed" (yes to this so hard)
-Short-tempered
-No lore in the actual dragon's bio, but the owner clearly has something in mind because they keep talking about it on the forums
-Rag tag group of dragons live together
-Clan history is mostly a story of how the mated progens met
-Traveling merchant, literally everyone sells something
-Small clans that form together a bigger clan. (two separate clans/groups)
-Surprisingly little mention of flying
-Future seer™
-Not really part of the clan but shhhh...
-Mercenary edgy clan with the only dedication to kill
-Everyone inexplicably has and is really good at their dream job
-Elemental civil war doesn't seem to exist
-New refugees from rival flights are never suspected of being spies
-Surprisingly little on the religious aspect of flight culture, nor the deep soul-searching and fundamental change of worldveiw that would likely be required for the average dragon to decide to defect to another flight
-Stock Adventurer archetype

....probably a bad thing I've taken a few notes on how to complete some of the blank bios now.

I had a good laugh while reading these, this is pretty accurate

Tho I feel that some of those cliches could be sorted into categories. You got the FR only cliches (sweet grandma snapper), and general fantasy clichés (blind seer). These are actually my favorites to use/subvert, lol.

And then you got the OC/character cliches. There are mainly 2 of those, edgy/vs/cute. The heartless mercenary on one side, and the cute florist/coffeeshop AU dragon on the other. Both are gay.
Both are gay because they're usually some kind of self-insert for the authors, even if the authors themseves don't realize it. :3 Everyone wanna be edgy (as catharsis), and everyone wanna be loved. That's my interpretation of why these cliches are so widespread.

The ultimate cliche character/OC is obv one that is both edgy (edgy past, edgy actions) and cute (another character, usually their partner, has to teach them to be good). Bonus point if they're still a dangerous murderer but everyone ignores it because they're alledgedly "fixed by love". More bonus points if they're a Mary Sue super powerful. And a demon/Shade/omething.

I should note that I'm not saying using those cliches is bad, I'm just rambling about why I think they're so widespread. :P
