There's a cap on the number of offspring a single dragon can have.

all dragons, especially hatchlings and older dragons, are prone to death by age, random attack, coliseum fighting, illness, etc.

When flights are fighting each other, the dragons don't breed.

Exalting doesn't mean gone from your lair forever, but there is one thing which might happen: Your dragon might end up dying.
Or, dragon illnesses exist. Gembond takes over your dragon.

or Eggs can be petrified, the hatchling dies inside and it's basically an egg shaped stone
disease and sickness can occur, some specific to hatchlings and you have to log on daily for five days straight and give them medicine to heal them. Miss one day and they die

you can now attack other's clans and permanently kill their dragons
number of killed ones is determined by the attacker's dragon levels
