Lyra

She was left by the entrance of the lair, by parents who knew they would not be able to take care of her. The nameless drakaina was told to wait by the entrance. As she waited, her parents flew back to their own home with heavy hearts. It did not take long for a young Dianthus to find her, seeing as the Fae hatchling had taken up watching one of the flowers by the entrance as a pastime.

"I'm telling you, it totally moves!" he explained to her as she joined him in watching an unassuming tulip. The children sat there until Bloodwing and Aldrik returned home at the end of the day, surprised and saddened to find a young hatchling left on their doorstep. They waited all day for the hatchling's parents to return, but it seemed the young drakaina had been abandoned for good. Bloodwing and Aldrik started thinking of names for her as the tired hatchling slept in their nest, already the size of their eldest son and guaranteed to grow much larger once she became an adult in a lair that was, at the time, only filled with Fae dragons.

Their worry was unfounded, as Lyra grew up to be a very gentle soul. She stayed at Dianthus's side when he opened his Teashop and when he later turned it into an inn. For a while, she guarded the entrance to the Lair and began to take note of things the lair needed, as well as writing down clan member's needs and wishes.

Once the Carnival formed, she made herself at home amongst the Divination tents, growing close to a few other dragons there. Melliny, Kylae and her visit dianthus once a week to have tea together and catch up. Lyra often helped Melliny with the organizational side of running the Carnival, as the other Imperial had not really asked for the job, simply hoisted on her when Valentina left the lair.
