Other dragons helped to fortify and place safety measures around the camp grounds, hopefully to make the following nights safer for everyone. Ecahrt, Nelacar, Goldpetals, Kari and Flamingo all came under scrutiny. There was not much evidence to garner from such a fiery death, but ultimately, the majority vote landed on Flamingo. Flask, the appointed leader, delivered the grave sentence, and by evening, the courtier had left without a trace. Along with him left the diviner, Nelacar. The clan, despite only being two days old and having already experienced a whole murder, went to their dens for the night. Just as they were all settling down to sleep, a sharp crack sounded outside her den. Her birds cawed and screeched in warning, and without even going to the window, she could hear the telltale crackle and explosions of something… on fire. The killer who had ended Orion was here. Before she could do anything however, smoke started filling the den. Coughing and confused at how the fire could have spread so fast, she stumbled towards the den entrance. Her birds, flapping about in distress, did nothing much to help her in her rush to escape. The door opened before she even reached it, and a dark figure leaped towards her in the smoke. Ecahrt felt sharp pain and blood on her chest and abdomen and collapsed, unable to continue. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ecarht would be found in her den the next morning, having died due to several wounds on her body. Remnants of firecrackers and her distressed flock would be outside the den. He peered into the distance, realizing that the source was probably much bigger than an average camp fire. Pogono's thoughts immediately went to the blaze that took the first dragon. Before heading to the source himself, Pogono quickly went to an alarm pole that was planted outside the shop. Pressing the button, he announced through the speakers, hoping to wake his clanmates. "Fire! There's another fire! Everyone up, it seems the killer has struck again!" Grabbing his flame dampener for the second time, he made his way over to the fire. After extinguishing what was left of the blaze, Pogono inspected the site best he could. Much to his sorrow, the victim had been one of his friends. Ecarht, another imperial was murdered, this time clearly injured by more than just flames. Pogono quickly recognized the smell of firecrackers, he tried to discern which injuries may give an indication of Ecarht's killer. Unfortunately the only witnesses were her flock above. Pogono couldn't understand bird language either, so interviewing them seemed out of the question. But he remembered on the first day, when Ecarht had told them to bring the clan members to the last murder site. Pogono cleared his throat, and hoped the birds might understand. "Bring as many dragons as you can here! We might be able to find who did this!" -----

[center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/64439195][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/644392/64439195_350.png[/img][/url] [i]Revenant[/i] Interacting with Pogono The zombie mirror was slumbering in his den although facing the entrance to the den as he seemed uncomfortable before being awoken to the calling-...the calling of another death as Revenant arched his back stretching-with the snapping of various bones in his seemingly decaying body as Scorn skittered over to the den entrance before looking back at the mirror who gave a yawn then shook himself more awake and quickly trots out of the den then hops down to the main gathering area,his head perking up to the flock of birds,then his mind flashed to the Imperial whom had assisted him yesterday with the lights-..his wings snapped open or-..partially due to how his body was as he swiftly approached Pogono with Scorn skittering on the ground beside him then climbing up and sitting perched on his back "So it happens again.." Revenant hissed as to alert the snapper to his presence, The undead Mirror standing tall with his boney chest protruded outward and his decaying wings open as far as their limbs could go,his crimson eyes glimmering with a simple humbleness to them as he then further approached carefully, eyeing the smoke a moment before returning his focus to Pogono "My friend..I assume another fire took her now?" He asked seeming to reconize who it was-..obviously from the flock of distressed birds now it'd be easy to tell.[/center]

Kari was awake through the night himself, his fire dancing and leaping through his den. He’d had to tuck away all of his belongings in a fireproof case for the night. Restlessly pacing the den, he caught a glimpse of outside. It seems the dawn was particularly firey. It must be gorgeous, he decides, so the flaming Skydancer steps out of his den.

This is not right. The dawn is not causing the smoke. No, it was another fire. Kari is confused, to say the least. Fire is such an unpredictable means of murder. Fire is uncontrollable. What fool would use it as a murder weapon? But no, this is no fool. They had managed to get away with these dreadful murders, hadn’t they?

Kari notices a Snapper — oh, his name must be Pogono, isn’t it — by the murder site and immediately rushes over. He hopes Pogono knows more than he does about this heinous crime. “What happened?” He exclaims. There is obvious fear in his tone as his eyes flick to Ecarht’s dead body.

If the killer could pick off such large dragons like Ecarht and Orion, then it is clear that no one is safe. And this strikes pure fear in Kari’s charred heart.

He had initially suspected him of being the killer, but now he doubted that a dragon made of fire would go to the trouble of using fireworks. Such volatile items would certainly blow up in the skydancers hands, before he could make any use of them. The sudden mental image caught Pogono by surprise, and he almost started laughing. Trying to bring himself back to the grim situation at hand, Pogono explained what he saw. "All I saw was the smoke. Tried to get here as fast as possible, but as you can see I wasn't quite quick enough..." Looking back at Ecarht's charred corpse, Pogono felt a twinge of guilt, nothing could be done until this killer was found. "It appears that she's been attacked pretty badly as well, it wasn't just the fire that killed her. Speaking of which." Pogono turned to the flaming skydancer, Kari, and presented a pair of gloves. Made of quite thick, fire resistant material. "Maybe these can be of use to you. Consider it apologies for the previous accusation." Pogono tried to take a mental checklist of any dragons that would fearlessly brave the flames to attack an imperial in such a manner. There was a good few warriors within the clan, but none that could be capable of such savagery. Except, perhaps, the conveniently flammable mirror standing right by the scene of the crime... Pogono shook the thought off best he could. -----

Kari’s eyes widen. “Oh … that’s so terrible,” he whispers sincerely, peering closer at the wounds. “I wonder what the murder weapon is. And I am quite disturbed by someone who seems to think they can control fire.”
Abruptly, he adds, “This may be an odd question … but do you have any firecrackers? If so, perhaps the killer could have taken them. I’m not sure where else they could’ve gotten those firecrackers.”

Kari honestly does not think Pogono is the killer. He feels safe, and perhaps it is a mistake to trust Pogono, but Kari will take that risk.
He gasps slightly at the gloves offered to him. “Oh, thank you! I appreciate this so much, I truly do! It would be lovely not to have my claws always on fire …” he dips into a slight bow. He feels overwhelmed at this kindness.

His eyes drift slightly to the plague mirror then immediately snap back. Kari’s not usually scared. His fire protects him very well. But this mirror scares him. As if he has the potential to kill two large dragons.

She was on her feet in a minute, flying over to the site of the kill; Ecarht's den. By the time they arrived at the den, a few other dragons were already there. She quickly took note of the scene; a few birds, still clearly in distress, were hanging around the area, and the scent of smoke still lingered in the air. The remnants of firecrackers littered the ground, and it seemed they they had taken part in this kill. So who in the clan would have access to firecrackers..? Melody approached two of the dragons already speaking to each other; Pogono, and the skydancer cloaked in fire. "Hello. Apologies for the interruption, but... it seems we were wrong about Flamingo. Do either of you know what happened here? Or have any idea of who it could be now?"

"It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility, firecrackers can come in handy from time to time." The only dragon Pogono could recall having been near his workshop, was his mirror friend Revenant. It wasn't a nice thing to think that the first friend he made in this new clan was the killer. But what other evidence was there? Pogono decided to approach Revenant directly. "You seem experienced enough in combat, friend. Do these injuries tell you anything about who might be responsible?" ----- Pogono votes for [b]Revenant[/b]

Kari nods. “I was only asking because I couldn’t think of another source for these firecrackers.” As Pogono turns to speak to Revenant — brave of him. Kari wouldn’t dare do that — Kari notices Melody.
“Ecarht is dead,” he notes. “It is quite a sad event. I suppose the kill included firecrackers, but there are wounds on her. That’s likely what killed her. So it wasn’t Flamingo. I do, however, have another suspect.”
Kari’s mind is set by now. The killer must be Revenant. Who else could it be? He doesn’t like to think that his choice might be wrong, but he has already made it.
