It seems like ages since he left his old clan and nesting grounds. He's so excited to be back and able to sell his little mechanical trinkets. As he heads down the path though, Binary did have to confess to himself that the old pathways had become a stranger to him. "Ah, it does anchor the soul though to be back in this darkening glowing." Just as things begin to settle and take on a slight familiarity a sudden burst of light happens through the trees. While at first intriguing, it doesn't hold a candle to the old sight of a Starbear in the distance. They were always and still are one of Binary's favorite creatures that he can't help in excitement to follow and see where the Bears off to.

Day 1

SugarCrystals had been hatched into mermadia's nest 3 years ago, and hadn't been back since. Her parents, while traveling through the region in search of scrolls, had paused, clutched, and moved on.

Now she was carrying on their tradition of traveling. She had wandered west, from the Sunbeam Ruins, through the Tangled Woods and the Scarred Wasteland. Now she stood in the Starwood Strand, marveling in glittering trees.

He wasn't sure that the nocturne could be trusted, but he didn't have a better option. Besides, Grandfather was a nocturne. He took the map back, and flew into the forest. It didn't take long before he couldn't see the beginning of the path, and the way forward was becoming confusing, too. He landed on the path, or what there was of it, to open the map. The lines of sparkly pink ink he watched the nocturne draw on it were still there, though following the twisting and turning path was beginning to give him a headache. Still, he persevered and moved forward as the sun was setting. Gwydion, being born in Nature and living there, thought the forest at dusk was beautiful. It was his first visit to the Starwood Strand, and he wanted to make a good impression for his clan, and himself. As he came around a particularly thick group of trees, he noticed an intensely pink light off to his right, pulsating and bright enough to cast shadows from the trees. He couldn't tell precisely where the light was coming from, and he started moving toward it. He heard something large moving through the underbrush and froze, his frills standing straight up in alarm. Just to the left of the pink glow, a Starbear stepped out of the forest. It ambled along, going it's own way without paying any attention to Gwydion. He smiled, thinking of his older cousin Llyr's familiar, Swyn. He lowered his frills, turning back to the glow. That Starbear was not a danger, but that glow could be the festival grounds. Gwydion moved through the trees to investigate it.

The bear perked up at the sight at the dragon, staring at her with its beady eyes, then quickly going back to sniff a bush and slowly walk deeper into the forest. "Wait, little bear!" Steelburn cried, holding a claw out to the creature in anticipation, "Do you mind if I were to travel beside you? I am a little lost in this forest, as you can tell." The bear turned to Steelburn and padded up to her as the Guardian watched in curiousity. The bear sniffed Steelburn as she quietly smiled at it, and let a resounding laugh the the bear licked her. "Hahaha! Oh, little bear, does that mean a yes?" She happily bounded after the bear as they walked deeper into the forest.

That is what Semplice is thinking when she strays from her path. In this strange and twisting place of wonder and dangers, another broken rule seems like hardly nothing in the face of her overwhelming desire to see a friendly, reassuring face. The bear is not one of her clanmates, one of her friends. But it seems friendly enough, with its snuffling and soft fur. And where there is a familiar, perhaps there are dragons. The bear wanders through the trees, and Semplice hesitantly follows.

She doesn't want to be alone.

She sighed as the familiar sights and sounds of the forest washed over her. Despite residing in the Sundial Terrace now, the Starfall Isles would always be her home, and she was going to make the most of her return. Suddenly, a strange glow deep within the trees caught her eye. No, it wasn't a glow. It was... a beacon, calling to her. The intense pink light pulsated, seemingly in time with her rapidly increasing heartbeat. Without thinking, she stepped forward, off the well-trodden path, toward the light. She was going to investigate the glow, to see where it called her and what it asked of her. Perhaps she could take some new knowledge back to the Sundial Terrace, to broaden the Lightweaver's ever-growing encyclopaedia on the mysteries of Sorneith. Or perhaps she'd find something more, something.... truly magical. -day two-
