It would have been a lot messier trying to 'wrap' the weaving pattern around the entire Balloon Kite had the idea not smacked me in the face while staring at my scissors. It wasn't easy (I had to scrap one of each kite cause my hand slipped and cut off way to much Q^Q) but worth it!

Additional information: I'd somehow imagine that wind dragons would enjoy the look of the Peacock Firebird, so I decided I'd make a little kite based on that. Also I just kind of wanted to make a kite. *flies away on kite*

Additional information: I'm not very good with digital art (especially right now when my programs are all acting up) but I still wanted to participate so, here's my entry. ^ _ ^;; I basically wanted to make a Shadow Flight-themed balloon (if the blue seems out of place, I refer everyone to check out our glowing mushrooms xD) so this is what I came up with:



I was originally hoping to make a real kite too, and I'm still going to try, but I'm out of craft paper and am in the middle of organizing a move, so I'm not sure that's going to happen. Either way, thank you for holding this contest :D

Oh my gosh I have to do this, if nothing else because you have SAI-ready templates. THIS IS HOW A CONTEST SHOULD BE DONE (also it's really cute and fun in general, wheee kites!)

@Polaroid _Are we allowed to exclude any of the provided tails? I would like to make one delta-shaped kite, and one diamond-shaped, but I prefer my kites to have one long tail, rather than many. '^-^
